Kicking on Kickstarter 27/2/2013

Kicking on Kickstarter 27/2/2013

Well I thought I’d do a round up of all the kickstarters out there at the moment for the Gamer that have taken my interest of late. So far I have only gone in at the £1 level on the Warzone Resurrection Kickstarter but I will be looking to up that one when I decide what it is I want from it since I currently have 3 armies for the original game which I will be digging out to see what they look like since they were painted 20 years ago! Wild West Exodus would be my second choice for my time and money but as you can tell I’m already in deep with Malifaux that the game does seem to have a lot of similarities which I could just see me going back to Malifaux (but it is my main game if I’m wanting to play something). Next we have Empire of the Dead which fits into the Gothic Victorian aspect again which you can fit into Malifaux but it has something that has been appealing to someone who loved the early 1900s for the Call of Cthulhu RPG. And lastly we have Hell Dorado which has been around for a couple of years and when I have seen the figures I really have liked them but for the gameplay I have no idea. I do remember Josh over at the Twilight Emporium building a game board for it which I also thought would be great for Malifaux (again you can see my game preference) so it would be interesting seeing what else is happening with the game itself. There are some others out there but personally there has been no interest in Torn, Loka or the 3Doodler. So if your interest check out the links below!

Rule and Updates!

Rule and Updates!

Well it’s been a long time coming but Knight Models have finally released the rules for the Batman Arkham City Miniatures Game in English… Last December they had released the Spanish versions which left everyone on the edge of they seats waiting for the English ones to drop to the point that Ness over at The Combat Company was compiling her own version by going page by page and dropping it into Google Translate. So I have my Joker Crew built and undercoated and waiting for paint. Other than that Malifaux has had some updates with the Governor’s Decree and Gaining Grounds being updated for 2013. Those who haven’t see these before they are the official Tournament Rules and Strategies for TO’s to use for their tournaments. Also with these updates we’ve had Hamlin and The Dreamer get errata’s as well which they have updated their cards which you can also download and officially use. And if your after some of these downloads just head to the downloads section at the top of the page and I have everything linked up. Now for the reason I haven’t had many pictures posted lately. I’ve had my camera die so all I have at this point is my phone to get any sort of shots which is particularly pathetic… I will be getting a new camera at some point but I don’t have any lead time on that… Maybe I can talk the wife into it for my birthday?

The Return of Warzone

The Return of Warzone

Well something that I never though would happen seems like it is going to and that is the return of The Mutant Chronicles Warzone. For those who don’t know the game it came out in the Mid 90′s and for me took the place of any Games Workshop games from it’s first edition and onward. So currently I have a Huge Dark Legion, Cybertronic and Brotherhood army sitting in the back of my gaming cupboard wondering when they are going to see the light of day again. I even just watched the movie again which came out a few years back and have been planning on rereading the books and comics that came out way back when. One thing I do hope is that they do get Simon Bisley back on the art so the old and new are compatible style wise. Well onto the video:

Through the Breach: A Malifaux Roleplaying Game

Through the Breach: A Malifaux Roleplaying Game

Well Yet again time is getting away from me and since my Camera has died I’m unable to get any new photos of all of the figures I’ve been working on. That being said unless you have been living under a rock you would have seen that Wyrd have announced the Through the Breach Malifaux Roleplaying Game. I’ve been waiting for this since I found Malifaux and I can’t wait to get it up and running when it comes out! And yes I’ve decided that I’m a fanboy since I went in at the top level, with the wife’s permission, and can’t wait for the Wicked Doll of all things! So if you haven’t seen it yet head over to Kickstarter to get in on it and read the description below. Malifaux is a successful character-driven skirmish game, with a wide range of detailed miniatures and accessories. The stories of Lady Justice, Nicodem, Colette DuBois, and many other masters of Malifaux are told with furious battles on table tops across the globe. Some rise, some fall, none of these characters have left unscarred. Their fates have become legend. Now it is time to determine your fate. Through the Breach is a tabletop roleplaying game set in the world of Malifaux.
