The first of our new wave of Space Marine releases is the devastatingly powerful Land Raider Achilles. This resin and plastic hybrid kit, designed by Stuart Williamson, boasts sponson-mounted twin Multi-Meltas and a hull-mounted Thunderfire Cannon. A line-breaker beyond compare, the Land Raider Achilles’ firepower is capable of forcing a breach in even the strongest defences at the tip of an armoured assault.

Originating in the closing years of the Great Crusade, the Achilles is perhaps the rarest and most venerable Land Raider variant still used on the battlefields of the 41st Millenium. It was originally created by the Imperial Fists Legion in response to a dire xenos threat now lost to the mists of history, and fittingly rare outside the noble Imperial Fists, their successors and the Ordo Reductor of the Adeptus Mechanus. The Achilles is perhaps most vaunted for its legendary durability – each stage of the hull’s construction incorporates layer upon layer of ancient electromagnetic algorithms and ferromantic incantations. This arcane lore is etched into the very structure of the Land Raider Achilles at a molecular level, and is one the most secret and ancient rites of the Cult Mechanicus.

The Land Raider Achilles is a complete resin and plastic kit, and is available to pre-order now for despatch in the week commencing December 6th, and is included in the Space Marine Siege Assault Vanguard army list in the forthcoming Imperial Armour Volume 10: The Badab War Part II. Eldar Hornet Available to Pre-Order Now

The Eldar Hornet, designed by Daren Parrwood, is a brand-new addition to the Eldar range. One of several new Eldar units that will feature in the forthcoming Imperial Armour Volume 11, this complete resin kit may be armed with a full range of Eldar weaponry and is supplied with two resin Pulse Lasers, and a plastic Eldar heavy weapon sprue, to allow you to refine its potent weaponry to a specific battlefield role.

The Hornet is a light tank employed by Eldar armoured forces in a fast reconnaissance and raiding role. Piloted by a single crewman, it can be found in the forefront of Eldar aspect warrior assault waves, speeding ahead of heavier Falcons and Wave Serpents and often operating alongside other high-speed attack craft such as jetbikes and Vypers.

The Eldar Hornet is available to pre-order now for despatch in the week commencing the 29th of November. Imperial Armour writer Warwick Kinrade has put together a set of experimental rules for the Hornet which can be downloaded for free here.

Raptors Transfer Sheet

Masters of stealth and ambush, the Raptors play a major role in the Badab War and this new A4 transfer sheet, designed by Paul Rudge, is packed with over 150 Chapter symbols, squad markings and vehicle identifiers.
These decals, along with our existing Raptors Terminator Shoulder Pads, Rhino Doors and Land Raider Door sets, allow Raptors players to add unique character and detail to their armies.

Etched Brass Sheets

The latest additions to our range of detailed Etched Brass symbols are these fantastic sets of Iron Hands and Imperial/Crimson Fists icons and Ork Glyphs from the talented hands of Graphic Artist Kenton Mills.

The Iron Hands and Imperial/Crimson Fists frames are packed with intricate symbols, Chapter and Company markings, scrollwork and Imperial Aquilae that can be used to decorate your Space Marine vehicles and infantry, as you can see in the images on the Forge World website

The Ork Glyphs frame provides a huge range of Ork pictograms with which to embellish the vehicles, armour and banners of your Clans to suitably insult your foes. The Ork sheet also contains a chequy pattern on the frame itself that you can trim into smaller sections and add to almost any model in the Ork range.

IPMS Scale Model World Reservations Now Being Taken
Forge World will be attending the IPMS Scale Model World show at the International Centre in Telford on November 13th and 14th and once again, we’ll have a sales stand packed with a wide range of resin models, weathering powders and Imperial Armour publications. All of this will be available to purchase at the show and anything we run out of can be ordered on the day with the added bonus of completely free shipping!

If you have a specific shopping list, the best way to guarantee that we’ll have exactly what you want is to place a reservation order beforehand.

To place a reservation, just send an e-mail titled ‘IPMS Reservation’ to ForgeworldReservations@games-workshop.co.uk including your name and a list of the items you’d like us to provide, you can also telephone us on 0115 916 8177. The thunder of engines and the blast of cannons heralds the advance of a new and deadly form of greenskin war machine in numbers beyond comprehension.

Armoured tracks grind inexorably onwards, driving all before them in a storm of destruction, as greenskins cackle madly at the sheer joy of their onslaught.

This devastating Grotzkrieg has laid waste to Imperial, Chaos, Tau, Eldar and Tyranid forces throughout the galaxy, and it seems that no fighting force in Warhammer 40,000 can stand against this new Gretchin devilry! (That’s what the Grots believe, at least!)

It is with some trepidation at the horror that will be unleashed across gaming tables everywhere that we can announce the release of the Grot Tank Set which is available to pre-order now for despatch in the week commencing June 21st. First previewed at the Forge World Open Day earlier this year, these extremely detailed and unique models have been wildly anticipated. Forge World designer Daren Parrwood has created a set of four fantastically ramshackle war machines that are complimented by four unique tank Kommandaz sculpted by Mark Bedford. The full resin kit allows you to build three Grot Tanks and a Kommand Tank, equipped with an additional hull-mounted weapon.

These new Grot Tanks are a revolution in miniature modelling and wargaming. The set contains four different variant chassis, tracks, exhausts and turrets as well as four fantastic Grot Tank Kommandaz and 5 different, incredibly shooty, weapon options. As you may have seen at the Forge World Open Day, and on the Games Workshop Blog, Forge World designer Daren Parrwood has taken care to ensure the kit is fully modular – all of the chassis, turret, exhaust, track and weapon options are completely interchangeable. This allows more than a thousand individual tanks to be built from the kits, before even considering the possibilities that rise from a bits box or other items in the Forge World range, such as Grot Crew and the recently-released Weapons Set.

Full rules for using a Grot Tank Battle Mob can be found in the Dread Mob army list included in Imperial Armour 8: Raid on Kastorel-Novem, but Imperial Armour writer Alan Bligh was so excited about the release of the Grot Tanks that he has created a deliciously unhinged Apocalypse formation that you can download here.

Forge World will be attending Games Day Spain on July 4th, and Games Day Baltimore on August 21st. We are now taking reservation orders for both of these exciting events. The Raven Guard

A notably grim and resolute Chapter of the 1st Founding of the Space Marines, the Raven Guard are masters of guerrilla tactics, surprise assaults, sowing terror and the execution of the brutal and overwhelming killing blow. Their black-clad Space Marines strike fear into the hearts of the enemies of humanity, while their war machines are adorned with symbols of death and inescapable fate.

Shadow Captain Korvydae

Shadow CaptainDesigned by Simon Egan, this is simply one of the most fantastically detailed 28mm models you will ever see, and if you don’t believe me just look at the Gallery shots which you can find Here! A Space Marine Captain equipped with a jump pack and a Thunderhammer, Korydae is a fearsome opponent in combat, exemplifying his Chapter’s mastery of hit and run tactics. Raven Guard Upgrade Set

Raven Guard Upgrade Also available to pre-order is our Raven Guard upgrade set, designed by Simon Egan and Will Hayes. This set contains highly detailed Raven Guard Mark VI ‘Corvus’ pattern armour helmets, torsos, shoulder plates and backpacks for use in conjunction with the Games Workshop Space Marine plastic infantry kits. The set contains enough parts to make five marines in Mark VI armour in combination with plastics including a Veteran Sergeant, as well as five alternate pattern Sternguard bolters. The Orks!

Brutal alien killers who live only for war, the Orks are a savage scourge on the galaxy whose ceaseless battles with the Imperium have resulted in an endless struggle for mankind’s survival in the grim darkness of the far future. The only thing more dangerous than the Orks themselves is the crude but deadly technology they wield, able to smash and rip apart their enemies with shot, shell, energy blast and hydraulic claw.

Ork Warkopta

WarcoptaDesigned by Phil Stutcinskas with crew by Mark Bedford, these intricate and more than slightly crazed flying machines are designed for one thing only; getting a mob of boyz into combat as fast as possible, with the added bonus of being able to shout insults at the footsloggers down below as they fly over their heads. The Warkopta is a full resin model and looks hugely Orkish as you can see Here, with twin chain-driven whirling blades, engines, rattler guns and lots of added detail, it even comes with a set of arms to enable you to model Games Workshop’s plastic Orks clinging on for dear life!

New Forge World Website Now Live!
As you can see here, the old Forge World website has been discontinued and replaced with a brand new, fully updated version.
Our new, more user-friendly site will make placing an order much easier. The new website will automatically and securely send your order straight to our despatch team, which should mean that all orders will be despatched a few days earlier than previously. All orders placed on our old website during the changeover have already been retrieved and we are processing these as quickly as possible.
The new website holds the complete range of Forge World kits, Imperial Armour books and Modelling Supplies and every category contains images of the items both painted and unpainted. We’ll be expanding these galleries over the next few weeks, and much of the content of the old website will return as soon as possible as well, so keep checking the website for the addition of downloadable rules, hobby advice and much more.

Raven Guard Rhino, Land Raider, and Terminator Land Raider Doors

These vehicle upgrade sets, designed by Simon Egan, contain replacement side doors and a front hatch suitable for use on all Rhino chassis tanks such as Predators and Whirlwinds, and all Land Raider variants. Two sets of Land Raider doors are available, one featuring additional Crux Terminatus icons. You can order these door sets here.

The Raven Guard feature heavily in the forthcoming Imperial Armour 8: Raid on Kastorel-Novem, as they operate stealth missions deep inside Ork strongholds on the occupied Industrial world. While a Raven Guard strike force is predominantly composed of Assault Marines, heavy equipment is also used and the armoured vehicles of the Chapter are honoured relics which are lovingly maintained and embellished by skilled artificers to display their battle honours and Chapter heraldry.
New Forge World Weathering Powders

This new set of our popular Weathering Powders expands and compliments our current six pigments with a further eight. The new powders are Aged Rust, Light Rust, Bone Dust, Faded Green, Dark Iron, Dry Mud, Fresh Mud and Medium Earth, and are available to order both individually and as a full set here. Forge World Open Day Aftermath

Thanks to everyone who made the journey to Warhammer World on Sunday to attend the Forge World Open Day – visitors from as far afield as Italy, Germany, Wales, London and even Brazil were in attendance! We hope you all had a fantastic day – everyone here at Forge World certainly did.

You can see pictures of the day here – including some close-up shots of the winner of the coveted Best in Show trophy for our painting competition as well as the draw of our charity Titan raffle. A special thank you is in order to everyone who bought a raffle ticket, and this year we raised a mighty £1,350 for Children In Need!

People who came along saw lots of new models on our Studio stand, many of which will be available to order within the next few weeks. Some of them will be available pre-release at Games Day France and Salute, more details of which will feature in forthcoming newsletters.

Elysian Troops for Valkyrie

This fantastic upgrade set for the plastic Valkyrie details the interior of the transport with a squad of Elysian Drop troops prepping in the moments before an assault – the troopers are all highly distinctive; checking weapons, talking amongst themselves and discussing the mission over a dataslate. The set contains a full Drop Troop squad of 10 seated troopers carrying a variety of equipment, as well as lasguns mag-clamped to the roof of the Valkyrie. Elysian Tauros Assault Vehicle

The Tauros Venator is but one variant of this multi-purpose assault vehicle – the ‘standard’ 4-wheel Tauros is used by the Elysian regiments as a long-range scout vehicle, mounting potent anti-personnel firepower in the form of either a Heavy Flamer or Tauros Grenade Launcher. Its four wheels are individually powered by advanced high-yield galvanic motors, allowing it to maintain speed even with damaged tyres – often giving it a crucial edge when faced with superior enemy firepower. This finely detailed model, designed by Will Hayes, is a full resin kit that comes with options for a Heavy Flamer or Grenade Launcher as well as two resin crew models, designed by Simon Egan. The Tauros can be transported in either a Valkyrie Sky Talon or a standard Valkyrie. You can order the Tauros and see more pictures of both painted and unpainted models here. New Tau Battlesuits!

Our first exciting preview for the weekend are three new variant XV9 Battlesuits, which you can see below, and include a new Tau Commander. These fantastic and characterful new Tau battlesuits have been designed by Daren Parrwood. Rules for the XV9 can be found in Imperial Armour Apocalypse II.

First of a new set of resin upgrades for the plastic Stompa kit, we have a titan-killing Claw Arm, a new Ork Stompa Head complete with the baleful gaze of Mork (or possibly Gork) and fighting-platform jaw, and the devastating if dangerously erratic Lifta-Droppa! These wonderfully ramshackle looking sets have been designed by Stuart Williamson, with crew by Mark Bedford.

Space Wolves Transfer Sheets

We also hope to have the first examples of our new Space Wolves Transfer Sheet available for sale at the Open Day. These large (A4) full colour sheets contain the symbols for each of the Space Wolves Great Companies, allowing you to customise the Sons of Fenris in any manner you choose. The sheet has over 400 symbols, including symbols sized for Terminator shoulder pads, and extensive wolf head and claw vehicle icons. The Space Wolves Transfer Sheet has been produced by Paul Rudge.

Imperial Armour Volume 8 Available for Pre-order!

As a special offer at Open Day 2010, attendees will be the first to be able to pre-order the soon-to-be-released Imperial Armour 8 -Raid on Kastorel-Novem. Copies paid for at the show will be signed by the author, and sent without any postage charge when the book is released.
