I've been 'into' the game for well over a year now but never really get a chance to play, so in terms of actual on-the-board tactics I'm clueless. This was really well written and informative. You apologise at the end for the length - I was gutted it wasn't much longer! As basically a beginner player, it's really useful to have stock deployment set ups that I can draw on to begin mastering the tactics of deployment myself. It also helps you to learn good mid-game tactics if you deployed in a remotely sensible way. Great article.
