Today has been my first real day off since the Christmas holiday, and I thought I’d get some build time in! A couple days ago a package arrived from Blight Wheel Miniatures bearing their new Prometheus Knight Titan, and I spent some time getting everything trimmed, cleaned up and washed off. I’ve been a long time fan of BigDaddy’s work, and own several of his previous iterations of Knight Titans, and I have to say that they just keep getting better. This new kit has tons of great detail and is an incredibly crisp and detailed cast.

Recently, while browsing a railway modeling forum I discovered a German terrain supplies manufacturer: Vampisol . The site is in German only so I’ll try my best to provide translations in the following to help any interested non-German to find their way around there. In the ” Spur 0 ” range (see: O Scale ) there are two sections with great products for 28mm wargamers: ” Kopfsteinpflaster ” (cobblestones) and ” Mauerplatten ” (stonework). Let’s look at the cobblestones first: Cobblestone Streets “Segmentbogenpflasterplatte” (V3050), cobblestone street with segmental arch pattern “Anschlußstück, Kreuzungsbauteil Segmentbogenpflaster” (V3054), connection/crossing piece for the segmental arch streets There are two types of cobblestone patterns available: Segmental arch pattern (depicted above) Stretcher bond pattern (see below) [ Wikipedia ] For both patterns there are supplemental products available such as kerbs (“Randsteine”), the segmental arch connection piece and a sidewalk. “Pflasterplatte Großformat Reihenverband” (V3056), stretcher bond cobblestone street (two pieces shown) The segmental arch cobbles pieces measure 124mm x 131mm and cost €4,50. The stretcher bond pieces measure 124mm x 70mm and cost €3,00 a piece. There is a super useful street planner PDF file available that allows you to get a proper impression of the cobblestone pieces’ sizes. This was very helpful and I wish every terrain manufacturer would offer similar guides for their products.

Well it’s been a long time coming but Knight Models have finally released the rules for the Batman Arkham City Miniatures Game in English… Last December they had released the Spanish versions which left everyone on the edge of they seats waiting for the English ones to drop to the point that Ness over at The Combat Company was compiling her own version by going page by page and dropping it into Google Translate. So I have my Joker Crew built and undercoated and waiting for paint. Other than that Malifaux has had some updates with the Governor’s Decree and Gaining Grounds being updated for 2013. Those who haven’t see these before they are the official Tournament Rules and Strategies for TO’s to use for their tournaments. Also with these updates we’ve had Hamlin and The Dreamer get errata’s as well which they have updated their cards which you can also download and officially use. And if your after some of these downloads just head to the downloads section at the top of the page and I have everything linked up. Now for the reason I haven’t had many pictures posted lately. I’ve had my camera die so all I have at this point is my phone to get any sort of shots which is particularly pathetic… I will be getting a new camera at some point but I don’t have any lead time on that… Maybe I can talk the wife into it for my birthday?

As may or may not know, Games Workshop have brought out the sue wagon again. This time they are suing a company which produces an e-book which mentions the words ‘Space Marine’. Games Workshop have it in their heads that Space Marine is their copyright, even though Space Marine has been used in literature for a very long time previous to G.Ws existence. Here's the info:

Hiya! It’s Rune, your favourite scrawny-little-23-year-old-viking-WH40K newbie. Most likely I am the only one of such a stature that you know of as in this instant. So our good man Mercer here on I.D. has written a post about the “fluff bunnies” in 40K, which seemed to cause some ruckus in the comments section on BoLS(quite amusing to see some people get more or less offended). I know this has been a long time coming, but I wanted to digest 6th ed before updating Killzone. I am going to release and unrefined shake down version of the 6th ed Killzone the last week of September. It won’t be pretty (no pics), but it should get you guys playing. That way you can point out any bugs you find before the final update. At the beginning of November after any additional kinks are worked out, I will be releasing the official update for 6th. Including a commissioned piece of cover artwork for the new books. I am really excited to get this update out to you good folks! I have had a lot of fun playtesting over the past few weeks. I will not be updating Codex Operatives until I get a chance to see and digest the upcoming Chaos codex. So any issues that you see in there should be reported ASAP.
