Last year I pledged to the Assimilation Alien Host kickstarter , which was producing a series of models almost perfect for some of the units I wanted to add to the fimir once the base army is done. Things were pretty quiet once the KS ended, and for a time folks were getting pretty fed up with the lack of updates as the most of the updates appearing were ones apologising for lack of progress. Then, just as the levels of impatience were approaching rage quit, the creator (Ed Fortae of Trollforged) re-appeared with some new sculpts, and things look like they are getting back on track, fingers crossed. Anyhow, the model above from the latest update is based on the concept work that got me to pledge in the first place. It’s a human infected by the mother of all tape worms. For myself, seeing as I’m going with the wormy theme with the fimir, a human possessed by a daemon of Fimul (which are all worms of one type of another) seems pretty plausible. I’m probably going to use these lads as either part of my warped ones (forsaken unit) or perhaps as spawn. They are gloriously disgusting, and I’ll be painting them to make them even more revolting. Now I just need Ed to cast the bloody things.
It’s been a little over a month since I put up the poll asking what you all thought about the new Daemons codex. The results are interesting. So far it’s the lowest rated codex in 6th edition based on the … Continue reading → The post Rok Da Vote: Chaos Daemons Codex (Closed) appeared first on Creative Twilight .
I’m coming a little late to the party here I know. The images for the new Warriors of Chaos book and models started appearing yesterday and since then have been all over the net. No doubt you’ve all seen the images of the various new kits. If not, you can see them here . There’s an avalanche of new kits as well as the new army book, all the more surprising as the general wisdom was expecting a new dual warhammer/40k daemon release in February, and here comes the Warriors of Chaos all up in our face with new kits by the bucket load. Most interesting to me of the existing units getting new models are the new dragon ogres and forsaken, both of which one never sees on the table. Are we looking at new rules? I sure hope so, because right now dragon ogres are shining the shoes of the skullcrushers. As for forsaken, never was a unit better named. Let’s hope they get the love, as the forsaken kit looks pretty interesting.
Inevitably, talk of price rises abound at this time of year .

Here is the long awaited update of the Soul Reapers codex. It will go up on TCP next week. There have been lots of little tweaks throughout the entire document. Some units made force org slot moves, Possessed got their second wound back (with the points upped again), the Land Raider got it’s infernal device back, Warlord Krüg got a shiny new special rule, minor tweaks to the psychic powers as well and many other little things throughout. I also added a couple of new units: First is the Contemptor Pattern Dreadnought in its Imperial Marine format, which fits the Reapers more than the Chaos variant. The Terror Hawk Gunship is the second, that is right I did it, I wanted and now have a flying transport. It’s my codex and I will not apologize for it. It is loosely based on the Storm Hawk from the Tempus Fugitives Age of the Emperor supplement. Get your Copy Here
Eldorad from Warseer was at the Monstrous Masterclass Seminar at Forgeworld and had this to say: Just got back from the monstrous masterclass at Warhammer World. During one of the breaks Mark Bedford told us that the Volume 2 of the Forge World Masterclass books was done, gone to the printers and due out in April. Didn’t elaborate on content much but mentioned the eldar titan. Both Mark and Phil also mentioned that Forge World were sourcing an airbrush for general sale.
Pictures are popping up of next months White Dwarf. It looks like it is a bunch of Lord of the Rings junk but there is at least one stand out – the new 25th Anniversary model for Warhammer 40k.
