Wishful Thinking – Top 10 Most Wanted

Wishful Thinking – Top 10 Most Wanted

Having seen Thantsants top 10 most desired Citadel miniatures on Somewhere the Tea’s Getting Cold , I decided to mull over my own list of the miniatures I most covet from the mists of time. I thought though, I’d include series of miniatures as well as individuals. Here we go! Oh, and thanks to all the folks whose images I may have pilfered a bit. 10.

The Mumblings – 1 Year Old!

The Mumblings – 1 Year Old!

I just realized that Mr Saturday’s Mumblings turned a year old back on the 2nd of November! Happy birthday to me. That went fast. Keep dropping by in year two for the continuing fimir army project (update coming), yet more undead, the kick off (hopefully) of my chaos dwarf force and general warhammer and gaming ramblings, rumours and general grooviness.

Fimir – Vanished into the Mists

Fimir – Vanished into the Mists

Things have been busy lately. I don’t mean on the hobby side either. Work has been overwhelming, so I have lifted not a brush to my fimir in the last month, which may explain the lack of any updates to the bog daemons. I don’t know if it’s just me, (which it probably is) but when I haven’t done anything hobby-related for more than a couple of weeks I start getting very twitchy. The lead pile seems that bit bigger. Added to this my copy of Dreadfleet arrived the other day, so I decided to not even open it until Christmas, as I am desperately trying not to get distracted from the fimir when I do have time to start up again. Now Tamurkhan comes out with it’s new and spangly chaos dwarf list. Oh my. Anyhow, back to the point.

Storm of Magic – A Few Surprises

Storm of Magic – A Few Surprises

Having been deluged in Storm of Magic images and information today, I have to say I’m cautiously optimistic. It’s hard not to get swept away by the ‘Ooo! Shiny!’ factor, but I am genuinely intrigued. What can be in all those pages? At half the size of the main rules, surely not everything is fluff and magic rules? I have heard a rumour that there are expanded building rules in there too, which would be nice, as the current ones are a little light I think. I was surprised to see some old faces return too. The chaos dwarf lammasu and great taurus for example. As a chaos dwarf player, I am happy to see them return, but a little surprised they didn’t get a makeover. Still, can’t complain, the evil stunties have been out in the cold so long, any mention is welcome. (On another note, there’s a new vampire counts unit on the way next month.

Chaos Dwarf Earthshaker Cannon

Chaos Dwarf Earthshaker Cannon

After a ridiculous amount of searching, I have unearthed this fellow. An old Leviathan dwarf mortar, to serve as my earthshaker cannon. I think it will fit perfectly with my old 3rd edition chaos dwarves. The crewman is a tad tall, but I think I’ll get away with it.
