E-Mail: 1,250 lists
Hi Mark,
Tanks, everyone loves tanks, right? If you’re a I.G player then you must have a boner for tanks. Before going on, I’ll stop anyone right here; if you’re expecting a new shazam super duper mega list, then you will be disappointed. I recommend you just scroll down to link within and look at something else. This list is for Shaun. He hasn’t used I.G for a bit and is looking to use them, though he has lost his way. The Core Easy one this; pack the troops with Veterans in Chimeras and do equal amount of units with plasma guns and meltaguns; remember, always have the same specials in each unit
. So three melta-vet units and three plasma-vet units. Next we need a HQ and a CCS fits perfectly.
It’s a Sunday again, which means it’s time for a game with Shaun. After his last bashing from Necrons, Shaun has taken less Space Wolves and more Guard. Grey Knights ‘Purifier Order’ – 2,000 points HQ Castellan Crowe Inquisitor Coteaz Inquisitor – psyker Troops 5 x Purifiers w/ Rhino – 2 x psycannons, nemesis halberd & 2 x nemesis daemon hammers 5 x Purifiers w/ Rhino – 2 x psycannons, nemesis halberd & 2 x nemesis daemon hammers 5 x Purifiers w/ Rhino – 2 x psycannons, nemesis halberd & 2 x nemesis daemon hammers 5 x Purifiers w/ Rhino – 2 x psycannons, nemesis halberd & 2 x nemesis daemon hammers 5 x Purifiers w/ Rhino – 2 x psycannons, nemesis halberd & 2 x nemesis daemon hammers 5 x Purifiers w/ Rhino – 2 x psycannons, nemesis halberd & 2 x nemesis daemon hammers 3 x Servitors – 3 x plasma cannons 3 x Servitors – 3 x plasma cannons Heavy Support Dreadnought – 2 x twin-linked autocannons & psybolt ammo Dreadnought – 2 x twin-linked autocannons & psybolt ammo Dreadnought – 2 x twin-linked autocannons & psybolt ammo Imperial Guard w/ Space Wolves – 2,000 points HQ Company Command Squad w/ Chimera – 4 x plasma guns Logan Grimnar Troops Veterans w/ Chimera – 3 x flamers Veterans w/ Chimera – 3 x plasma guns Veterans w/ Chimera – 3 x meltaguns 4 x Wolf Guard w/ Drop Pod – all in terminator armour & 3 x storm shields Heavy Support Leman Russ Battle Tank Leman Russ Battle Tank – heavy bolter sponsons Manticore Rocket Launcher Game: vanguard strike + the scouring Deployment Objectives have been placed with one on top of the shrine, one in a ruin bottom left, one in the centre by the tower ruin, one in a large ruin my table edge, one in a large ruin on Shaun’s table edge and one in a ruin in Shaun’s deployment zone. Shaun wins the roll off for deployment side and deployment, he picks first turn and takes the upper right half of the board. He deploys the CCS Chimera, Manticore and Flamer Chimera behind a ruin while the Russes are against the right board edge. Chimera with plasmas is deployed in a ruin where a objective is while the Melta Chimera deploys behind that ruin. Now I have two choices when deploying; I can put all my vehicles behind the big shrine ruin and Shaun cannot draw LOS to me. However, this puts my further away from the objectives. If I deploy as forward as I can, I won’t get cover, but I have plenty of space to spread out to reduce blast damage
At Powerfist Gaming a escalation league is starting soon. Seems I’ve just started Daemons, I thought it would be rude not to enter. Plus this gurantees me games and I also get to play smaller games, which I find enjoyable. I didn’t get any pictures last night as I wasn’t planning on doing bat reps, but as there’re small games I can easily remember what has happened. My first game is 1,000 points and is against Alan. Alan has played the D.V missions a bit, but not a full game of 6th, though he knows the game inside out. He’s also using his new Imperial Fists force. Daemons – 1,000 points HQ Herald of Tzeentch – chariot of tzeentch, we are legion, master of sorcery & bolt of tzeentch Herald of Tzeentch – chariot of tzeentch, we are legion, master of sorcery & bolt of tzeentch Elites 5 x Flamers of Tzeentch 5 x Flamers of Tzeentch Troops 5 x Plaguebearers of Nurgle 5 x Plaguebearers of Nurgle 5 x Plaguebearers of Nurgle 5 x Plaguebearers of Nurgle Fast Attack 5 x Screamers of Tzeentch 5 x Screamers of Tzeentch Imperial Fists – 1,000 points HQ Pedro Kantor Librarian Elite 5 x Assault Terminators – 3 x lightning claws + 2 x thunderhammers & storm shields Troops 10 x Tactical Marines w/ Rhino – meltagun & missile launcher 5 x Scouts – bolters & heavy bolter Fast Attack 5 x Assault Marines – sgt w/ power fist Heavy Support Predator – heavy bolter sponsons Game: vanguard strike + purge the alien Deployment Night fighting is on. I cannot remember warlord traits, though I know mine was useless.
For those of you who don’t know, the Summer Skirmish is run by Tim King from the Scottish ETC team who’s now the Events Manager at Maelstrom. Last year’s event was a great laugh and a totally different experience from the rest of the tournament scene. This is largely down to the fact that over 1.5 days you play 13 games!! That might sound a lot but not when you consider it’s 500pt combat patrols. I took DE to last year’s event and learnt a lot. This year was no exception and I took the following: 500pts of Dark Eldar 10 Kabalite Warriors (Blaster, Splinter Cannon, Sybarite) 8 Reavers (2 Heat Lances) Razorwing Jetfighter (4 Shatterfield Missiles, Splinter Cannon) Now I’m not going to pretend this is an amazing list but it is fun! Basically I wanted to bring a flyer along to see how they fared and because some armies there simply couldn’t deal with them. The reavers are fantastic in 6th edition and the kabalites are frankly only there because you have to take 1 troop! The format is pretty simple. Players are randomly assigned to pools of 4 and play all three opponents. Players are then ranked and play in another group of 4.
Ratguard has released an awesome Basilisk/Medusa conversion kit.
As usual went to Powerfist Gaming in Stafford last night. I played against Jackson the clubs owner. Imperial Guard “Steel Lions” – 2,000 points HQ Company Command Squad w/ Chimera -
