Battle Report: Grey Knights vs Imperial Guard w/ Space Wolves – 2,000 points
It’s a Sunday again, which means it’s time for a game with Shaun. After his last bashing from Necrons, Shaun has taken less Space Wolves and more Guard. Shaun wins the roll off for deployment side and deployment, he picks first turn and takes the upper right half of the board. He deploys the CCS Chimera, Manticore and Flamer Chimera behind a ruin while the Russes are against the right board edge. Chimera with plasmas is deployed in a ruin where a objective is while the Melta Chimera deploys behind that ruin. Now I have two choices when deploying; I can put all my vehicles behind the big shrine ruin and Shaun cannot draw LOS to me. However, this puts my further away from the objectives. If I deploy as forward as I can, I won’t get cover, but I have plenty of space to spread out to reduce blast damage
