Warmachine and Hordes; this will be my second foray into Warmachine and Hordes. My first foray was a very short three month endeavor about one year ago that resulted in me selling off my Legion of Everblight army.

At last the Life Guard heads have arrived in store, and I’m almost out of stock after only a few hours! I’m really pleased how these have come out, a whole lot better then my early attempts at heads, even if I do say so myself! The sprues have five different heads in them, with two sprues in each pack. More heads are on the way as well! This group of releases also see’s a multi-part Tank

Hey guys! So as I’ve talked about before, my buddy Magilla Gurilla over at Table Top War has been bitten pretty hard by the Malifaux bug, and as a result, I’ve got crews coming over my painting desk left and right! I already showcased the Zoraida crew, but I got the itch to paint and got his Pandora crew finished in a day’s worth of work. I’m pretty happy with the way the group turned out, especially the Insidious Madness! Baby Cade and Candy were amazingly detailed for their size, but they painted up exceptionally fast as well. Convict Gunslinger is definitely my favorite model in the group. His head is a little flatter than a head should be, but that’s no big deal. The skintone turned out perfectly on him, and the scars I’m even happier with! Alrighty, next up is an Imperial Fists motorpool and Magilla’s Lilith Crew! Granesh

As we’ve blogged about this week, the TableTopWar gang is getting back into Malifaux after a 9-Month hiatus. Truth be told, I was a little tired of 40K and needed to give some other gaming system a chance. With a little prodding, I convinced the group to bust out (or in the case of Mags, to go through yet another faction swap) their Mali models and get to painting. Our goal is to have models on the table by the end of this month. Not necessarily everything painted but at least put together so that we can start getting the basics down. As you can see here , Mags already has his entire crew put together and managed to slather some paint on one of his dolls. I am NOT that far along…. but in my defense, Mags' models were all solid pieces and my smallest model, the Jackalope, is still 3

I do not usually go on rants; I usually attempt to avoid nerd-rage. However, sometimes, you just got to call a spade a spade. My last two tournaments have been played at a hobby store in the local area,

Not a lot of hobby time over the past week, but I did manage to go through my miniature collection and snap some pics of some older models that lurk on the shelves – so today it’s time for another Hobby Retrospective. Sadly many of the Specialist Games that GW used to support have been deprecated and it’s but once in a blue moon that we see any new models or rules for any of the great games they used to support. One of my personal favorites is Necromunda, the skirmish-level, campaign-centric game of gang wars in the underhives! My local gaming group has played countless games of Necromunda and we still dust off the old minis and terrain occasionally. My main team is The Azure Serpents, a group of Delaque gangers who these days more often serve as ‘generic bad guys’ for my Rogue Trader campaign.

Worked some more on my Lord of The Rings models. I finished off my group of elves with swords. This now completes all the models I have for my Wood Elves. I will post a picture of all of them together in my next post.
