Hey guys! Kept meaning to post this up yesterday, but with Magic Celebration at work all day, I was pretty well pooped afterwards. Anyways, the final group of Imperial Fists consisted of: 10 Sternguard 5 Assault Terminators Land Speeder 2 Forge World Dreadnought Arms I’m really happy with the Terminators, they just turned out exactly as I wanted them to! Needless to say, I’m very glad to be finished with this commission. Yellow is always a difficult color, especially when you have to keep to a set time schedule to make them profitable. I know I could spend 3 or more hours on an Imperial Fists Tactical Marine if I really wanted to. Whew! Alrighty, next up is some Ogres I need to finish, along with an Imperial Strongpoint and my own Dark Vengeance set! Here’s a sneak peak at my first Cultist! Only 19 more to go! Granesh

Will have some updates to share tomorrow hopefully…if not, I’m feeling a rant FOR finecast coming on in the near future…. Granesh

Hey guys, So the painting mojo is back in full swing, I’ve just been rolling through commissions lately. First the Dark Eldar, and now this! Lilith, lots of character in this model. Tuco and Iggy. Strange little models, Tuco’s face is almost entirely covered up, and Iggy looks ready to go bobsledding… Terror Tot Nephilim, complete with little doodles too! Young Nephilim, these models were fun to paint up. Though the wings were separate pieces and a little touchy to glue on… Mature Nephilim! RUN! Desperate Gunslinger: one of my favorite models, yet I hate him at the same time. Everything just looks like it needs to be painted the same color, he was the hardest piece to finish. Primordial Magic: What can I say, it’s a zombie genie worm! Who doesn’t love that? And a little extra bonus for Magilla, I got my favorite Malifaux model painted up.

Hey guys, So with the new Chaos Marine codex rumored to be just around the corner, I figured this would be the perfect time to list my Abaddon the Despoiler figure up for sale. I’m not in any hurry to sell him, but he might be a fun project to do again here in the near future, so I figure I’ll sell #1 and use the money to make an even more epic #2! The link to the eBay auction can be found HITHER ! Again, the link to the eBay auction can be found HITHER ! Should be finished with Magilla’s Malifaux crew tomorrow, along with a couple other projects. The painting mojo is in full swing! Granesh

Hey guys, So I sat down the last couple days and rallied out a local commission I picked up a couple days ago. I had a friend of mine pick up another friend of mine’s Ogre Kingdoms army, and he’s slowly been working through painting it. Seeing as the Stonehorn would end up being the centerpiece of the army, he commissioned me to paint it up and, I gotta say, its looking pretty sexy! I opted for a cooler palette, sticking with a grey tone for the Stonehorn, while using a warmer tone with the reds on the Ogre to draw the eye. Anyone know what sound a Stonehorn makes? Grrrr? Roar? Harumph? The little patchy areas of skin on the Stonehorn itself is a nice breakup for the huge fur areas. I went with a standard tank weathering technique for the metallics on the model by mixing the Light Rust and Light Earth weathering powders from Forge World with a little water, then painting it on

Hey guys! So I’ve been busy rolling through some bright yellow tanks the last week and a half! The completed motorpool is, obviously, a Vindicator, 3 Rhinos, and, my favorite, 2 Predators. Don’t see enough Predators these days, but with the ability to move and shoot, I think you’ll start to see them more often on the table, especially with Codex Marines and Chaos Marines. The Rhinos are all marked differently, and are numbered as to prevent confusion later on the tabletop. I opted for black turrets on the Predators to break up the huge patches of yellow on the tanks. Again, these are numbered as well. Lastly is a Vindicator. The chevrons were painted by hand with no tape, amazingly. Basic highlighting and some dusting helped it look more natural (and like a siege shield!). The biggest trick I’ve found with Imperial Fists is breaking up the huge patches of yellow

Next commission, its my all time favourite miniature, Kingdom Death Flower Knight! I was definitely very excited to paint the Flower Knight. I myself have the Flower Knight as well. Guess I will be painting the Flower Knight 2 times. The colour choice was requested by client so I followed as close to what he wanted. For the 50mm base, I used a resin base from Fenris. I assembled a stone wall with some cut up blue foam, twisted some wires and sculpted a tree. Once the Flower Knight was assembled onto the resin base with the wall and tree sculpt, I can feel the essence of the forest and the power of the Flower Knight… Haha. This sure make me motivated to get my Kingdom Death miniatures to paint! So all my 6 miniatures all done up. As the 25th Anniversary Marine and the Flower Knight were very fragile, I had to blutack the miniatures to the base of a display case, and packed them in a box. Now, all ready to deliver!

Hey guys, Late night blog post! It’ll be a quick one, I have a Malifaux Crew to show off tomorrow. Anyways, I figured I’d share the pictures I’ve gotten of the terrain I’ve gotten done for Durango Diceworks over the last couple of weeks. I got the 5th in each group finished today, but you can see I’ve been playing around with the GW Water Effects courtesy of my boss at work. The Effects really add some needed detail to the craters, which take maybe 10 minutes to paint, and even most of that is drying time. I don’t have a finished shot of the Citadel Woods (For the love of the God-Emperor, leave the fronds off…), but I had an idea for the base. The 6 WHFB Mysterious Woods Phenomenon are written in the spots the trees would go. Roll a 4? Remove tree #2 and you’ll see what a 4 corresponds to. Just an idea, its not super practical but good for remembering rather than painting 5 different wood sets. My boss had picked up the Citadel Battleboard add-on to make our Battleboard work as either an 8’x4’ or two 4’x4’, so I sat down and rocked through that last Saturday.

Hey guys, Man I’m so glad to be done with this army, and damn does it look good all together. I’m not super happy with having to wash the yellow, but it looks good overall. To start, the commission consisted of the Space Marine Megaforce, along with some additional pieces the client requested. So we’re looking at: 1 Fully Magnetized Space Marine Commander 1 25th Anniversary Space Marine model 1 SM Command Squad 2 Tactical Squads with Magnetized Special Weapons 5 Scouts Land Speeder Storm Land Speeder Attack Bike 4 Bikers with Sergeant Chaplain on Bike (never thought I’d do this model!) Land Raider Crusader/Redeemer 2 Drop Pods 2 Fully Magnetized Dreadnoughts; 1 Venerable 1 Regular I think that’s it. The next group is going to be 2 Vindicators, 2 Rhinos, 5 Terminators and 5 Sternguard, which should be a nice addition to the force! Alrighty, what everyone’s looking forward to: Pictures! There’s over 30 of them! First Tactical Squad Second Tactical Squad; both have magnetized Special Weapons, you can see the magnets in their hands! 5 Scouts and a Land Speeder Storm. A regular Land Speeder. I gave it an extra Missile Launcher, and the Heavy Flamer is an old Baneblade sponson flamer affixed to the bottom. The model was one of the set that was already put together and in rough shape. Land Raider Crusader and Redeemer; hooray for magnets! The assault ramp is glued shut. The Forge World Land Raider doors are really nice and add to the model as a whole.

Hey guys, Oops, another week since a new post…that’s not good. I’ve been focusing on the Facebook page and not the main blog! Oh noes! Anyways, figured I’d finally take some pictures of my Display Shelf, as well as what’s on my painting desk right now. I’ve got 3 Bikers, a Land Speeder Storm, 2 Command Squad members, and the 25th Anniversary model to finish. Shouldn’t be too long now! I’ve got some of Mags’ Green Knights assembled, and while I can’t wait to get him done, I’ve got some other commissions just ahead of his. Here’s the Display shelf. You can see some of my IG tanks on the top, then my Tau Empire, the Imperial Fists and Mag’s Green Knights, then my Alpha Legion CSM army. I need to play the Tau a little more. I’m actually hoping to sell the army off here in the next couple of months (how many times have I said that?), but they might have to hit the table one final time. The remenants of the Necrons that my friend just handed me because he got bored of them
