Lukas here, that cheesy Necron guy. I’ve finally gotten back to writing. Obviously with the release of 6th it becomes a little difficult to talk “strategy” when it comes to Necrons. And that is one of the few things I … Continue reading → The post 6th Edition appeared first on Creative Twilight .
Two new Necron models have been released by Forge World. The new Pylons are smaller than the previous Necron Pylon and in line with the previously released Necron Sentry Pylon with Gauss Exterminator, and are featured in Imperial Armour 12: The Fall of Orpheus.
Forge World has just released two new Necron models as part of Imperial Armour 12.
Forge World has released images from the upcoming Imperial Armour 12 The Fall of Orppheus. Always great books, with new units, formations and models, the new book features Necrons.
I played a game against Jon last night. He is rocking the Minotaurs chapter which is a F.W chapter from an Imperial Armour book. I am expecting a good fight as he is bringing triple Vindies, and I do not like one Vindie let alone three! Necrons ‘Mechrons’ – 2,000 points HQ Necron Overlord w/ Catacomb Command Barge – warscythe & mindshackle scarabs Royal Court – 3 x Crypteks – 3 x harbingers of destruction & solar pulse Necron Overlord w/ Catacomb Command Barge – warscythe & mindshackle scarabs Royal Court – 3 x Crypteks – 3 x harbingers of destruction & solar pulse Troops 5 x Necron Warriors w/ Ghost Ark 5 x Necron Warriors w/ Ghost Ark 5 x Necron Warriors w/ Ghost Ark 5 x Necron Warriors Fast Attack 6 x Wraiths – 3 x whip coils 6 x Wraiths – 3 x whip coils Heavy Support Annihilation Barge Annihilation Barge Annihilation Barge Minotaurs – 2,000 points HQ Asteron Moloc Reclusiarch Ivanus Enkomi Captain – artificer armour & power fist Troops 10 x Tactical Marines w/ Razorback – flamer & missile launcher 5 x Tactical Marines w/ Razorback 10 x Tactical Marines – plasma gun & shields 10 x Tactical Marines – shields Heavy Support Vindicator Vindicator Vindicator Land Raider Achilles 5 x Devastators – 4 x missile launchers Game: Dawn of War & Purge the Alien – night fighting is on Deployment Jon wins the roll off and lets me go first, this is a good idea as Necrons as a mid range army and I won’t get so many shots off on him the first turn. It will allow him to drop demolisher shells on me from a distance. I deploy all on the right flank with my Wraiths at the front, Ghost Arks in the middle and then all Barges behind with Overlords on each flank. Jon deploys spread out across his table edge, going from left to right – Land Raider, missile launcher combat squad, Vindicator, Devs w/ Reclusiarch, shield Marines w/ Moloc, Vindicator, Marines in a ruin, Vindicator and then the two Razors. * Tactical Notes It looks like Jon fears my gauss more than I fear his Land Raider as he has deployed it a long way from me. I’ll keep it at an arms distance for now, but I am tempted to send the none warlord Overlord towards that way and cut it up with his warscythe, if the Overlord survives he can attack the 5 man units camping on the hill in ruins along side a Vindie.
Forge World has started releasing Necrons in advance of the release of the new Imperial Armour book From Forge World: The Night Shroud is a dedicated bomber, larger than the more numerous Night Scythe and Doom Scythe craft alongside which it operates, whose origins date back countless aeons to the lost battles of the War in Heaven. The Night Shroud was built to carry a relic of that ancient and apocalyptic conflict – so-called Death Spheres – containment vessels imprisoning the merest fragment of anti-matter. This potent warhead is kept out of phase with the material universe until the sphere detonates, unleashing an energy blast capable of annihilating anything it touches. The Night Shroud is a complete resin and plastic kit. Model designed by Daren Parrwood . This model is available to pre-order now and will be despatched from Friday April 5th. The Night Shroud costs 70 GBP, about $ 105. Forge World has also released a Necron Realm of Battle board. From Forge World: The stasis-crypts of the Necrons are protected by great defensive structures; near-impregnable fortifications designed to stand against the ravages of eternity, hostile action and deadly environments. Tomb Citadels often stand on the outermost borders of a wider complex
I got a game in with Chris last night at the Vine Inn Gamers. Chris runs a very smart looking Ravenwing army
A cool video showing some of the great art that will be in the upcoming Imperial Armour 12: The Fall of Orpheus. This looks like it will be even better than the last volume.
