Well it’s been a long time coming but Knight Models have finally released the rules for the Batman Arkham City Miniatures Game in English… Last December they had released the Spanish versions which left everyone on the edge of they seats waiting for the English ones to drop to the point that Ness over at The Combat Company was compiling her own version by going page by page and dropping it into Google Translate. So I have my Joker Crew built and undercoated and waiting for paint. Other than that Malifaux has had some updates with the Governor’s Decree and Gaining Grounds being updated for 2013. Those who haven’t see these before they are the official Tournament Rules and Strategies for TO’s to use for their tournaments. Also with these updates we’ve had Hamlin and The Dreamer get errata’s as well which they have updated their cards which you can also download and officially use. And if your after some of these downloads just head to the downloads section at the top of the page and I have everything linked up. Now for the reason I haven’t had many pictures posted lately. I’ve had my camera die so all I have at this point is my phone to get any sort of shots which is particularly pathetic… I will be getting a new camera at some point but I don’t have any lead time on that… Maybe I can talk the wife into it for my birthday?

The very first Malifaux Master I had was Kirai. Snake-Eyes purchased her and some extras for me when I graduated with my Master's Degree. I played her for awhile, but the games between her and Marcus were not fun at all and were very lopsided in her favor. So, off she went into the KR Multicase…there to languish in white primer. Instead of playing Resurrectionists, I decided to delve full speed ahead into Neverborn and now have Pandora, Zoraida, Collodi and Lilith….with Dreamer on his way shortly from one of my favorite commission painters of Choice:

Mags and I got together last week and decided to play a 25ss Scrap using the Team Battle Box rules from SoCal Smackdown, basically so I could get some of the in's & out's down for Zoraida. The Rules for this event were that each team member must have a 25ss force that includes at least one model from your particular Master's Boxed Set. We decided that we should stick with Mags Neverborn in the event because that would give us the most flexibility; As Mags has full crews for Lillith, Zoraida, Pandora, & Collodi. We also decided that I would stick to Lilith or Zoraida while he would play Pandora or Collodi, depending on Strategy. Lilith is pretty straight forward so I didn't need any practice with her; Zoraida however, is a little more subtle and I wanted to get in a practice game or 2 with her. EDIT:

So with my new love of playing Collodi and Zoraida I wanted to do something special for my the crew in a personalised Supply Wagon. With that I wasn’t sure what I should do for it. That being said I went through all the usual ideas of some form of wagon and tossing those ideas before because they have been done before… So what did I think of… Well my first idea was some form of large puppet so we have the theme going through and when thinking I could go for a nutcracker or some other form of toy soldier I thought ‘What would Zoraida Build” and with that thought an idea was born. A Wickerman… Some form of Wickerman to be led by smaller dolls towards where they needed to go. So first up it was looking for pictures of different typed where there was many… Also I found this g reat guide at Germy.co.uk on how to make one. So I took these ideas and with the image you can see in the title I went to make my Wickerman. First up I needed a frame so with a lack of wire I had some plastic tubing I had used to extend Bolter mussles sitting there so I drilled out the end of them and used paperclips to make the bends for arms, legs and also pinned it to the base. After that had dried I rolled out some Greenstuff and started to mold the body and legs how I wanted them to. This is when I realised that I was going to have to work fast on it as I didn’t think about the Greenstuff drying before I started putting the sticks onto it. Also you can see in the image below the Head which was a bit from a Ogre Kingdom’s Wolf or Boar Rider’s Banner (The banner is for my Deathwing which may see the light of day at some point) As the head seemed to be of a crocodile type of creature I cut it at one of the joins and put the part I cut off unde it to form the bottom of the jaw.

So as I’ve shown before I have been making progress on my Guild and with the new Table here I decided to get my Finished Hoffman Crew out on it to have some photos taken. I decided to go with a red armour for the constructs and then try to tie them in with the rest of my Guild. After starting I noticed a lot of red Hoffman crews out there but I went as Dark as I could so you didn’t get that “Iron-Man” feel to them as well. I’ve kept mainly with the Guild Constructs at the moment for them but I do have the Mobile Toolkit sitting on my painting bench waiting for some colour as well as an Arachnid Swarm but only the Toolkit is ready to be painted and I’m going to save the Swarm for after I finish my Neverborn/Ressers. This is when I realise I have either too much money or too much time on my hands since I don’t need that many figures to play a game! But on with the Construct Pictures! Share and Enjoy:

As I clean the dust off the site you can tell I’ve been busy with the outside world.. Work has been busy and a full month with the family have kept me away from putting fingers to keys but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been doing any hobby. First off I have 2 figures left to paint to have 182 Soul Stones of Guild Painted. After that I’m onto finishing my Neverborn with 6 of the hated Alps and a Pandora Crew. Also I have Hoffman’s Mobile Toolkit to get done with the 2 Guild Models to get a good range of options for all Guild masters… Now to get some more Witchling Stalkers and some Guild Hounds! That being said I have also finished off my Hoffman Crew if you check the Hobby Progress Tracker you can see that I have been busy and I have some bad quality WIP photos that I put up on tumblr when asked what I was working on when in the Malifaux IRC room or Twitter… So what’s upcoming? Well I’m hoping tomorrow to have my order placed for my GenCon Releases from Wyrd. I’m going to be picking up these for now and others as they come out. Hopefully I’ll have them arrive in the next day or so before I put my order in… I’ve also joined the Malifaux World League which you have painting elements and playing games but I’m doing it for the painting at the moment until I can get some more games in.
