You may have already seen this but Maunsfeld Gaming (the shop formerly known as Maelstrom Games and the venue of the first four Blog Wars) has now gone into receivership. I received an email from the venue this lunchtime to say: Hi there I’m sorry to have to say this, but Maunsfeld Gaming is now closed for the foreseeable future. Maunsfeld Gaming is going into liquidation shortly; the company is not insolvent – there’s enough assets to cover any debts – but the longer it carries on, the more debts will accumulate and it will achieve critical mass at some point. With the attendance falling, organisers cancelling events, terrain being stolen, staff leaving, not being able to stock Games Workshop products in the store and the quite breathtaking and totally unjustified vitriol on the internet from some quarters, it seems the venue is no longer wanted by most. I know this is a major disappointment for those of you that have a booked in event at the mill or attend on club nights, but I have no alternative but to call an end to it…………… ………….I hope you all understand why this has happened and that it’s not what I or our staff wanted. I wanted to sell the company, perhaps even the assets alone, so that someone can keep it going, but nobody seems to want to take it on, so that’s that. May I take this opportunity to thank all of you that have held events at the mill, or attended the club nights, over the past few years; you have been superb and I hope you have all enjoyed the facilities we put so much effort and time (and money) in to provide.

Location: Unlimited Hobbies Unit 2, 94 Kildare Rd Blacktown NSW 2148 Tel: 02 8814 8700 When: Sunday 11th December Masters: December’s Blessing is a fixed faction event, you choose your faction at the start of the tournament and may choose masters and minions available to that faction each game. Soulstones: 35ss scraps. Rounds: December’s Blessing is a 3 round event. Pairings : The first pairing of the day will be a random draw. Pairings for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounds will be seeded and where possible same faction match ups will be avoided Using Ratty’s Tournament Organiser Scoring: Scoring will be done using the Domination format from Gaining Ground, which is scored TP/DIFF/VP Tables: The tables will be 3’x3’ and will have at least half the table covered in terrain where possible, tables will be set up before the event. Special events and terrain will not be used. Proxies: Proxies for unreleased models allowed but must be painted, please make sure that the model you’re using as a proxy is similar to what the model would look like and is on the correct base. If you wanted to proxy other models please PM me or reply to this thread so we can work out if it’s too confusing or not. Painting: There is no painting requirement for this tourney however there will be a prize for best painted. Cost: $15 with all money going back to the players in prize support.

Just a quick update, in the nick of time the second batch of casts have arrived so I’ve now over a hundred Roughriders in stock again. I don’t anticipate a third order anytime soon however. You can order the kits via Paypal from this page.

Right that its, the kits are ready to go! I only have 40 in stock at the moment, if these do run out the Paypal check out will not proceed. As I may have mentioned before I’m getting married in a few days. As such I’ll be off on honeymoon for a couple of weeks. Obviously I’ll not be blogging whilst I’m away so From The Fang will be going a bit quiet until I return. Had a decent response on the Blog Wars tickets so far with 16 people attending at the moment. Thank you to everyone who's already bought tickets. To those who have yet to buy them I'd like to point out that since I'm going to be away you might not receive confirmation as quickly as the others have.
