Flesh Tearers – Jump Pack Death Co. Part 2
Adult responsibilities make me a sad panda! This isn’t quite a rage but yeah, its maybe a semi-rage :/ Thursday night should be Warhammer night at Powerfist in Stafford, the guys there are cool and when I go it gives me a chance to look at whatever dairylealaughingcowcheesespam Mercer has with him
lol. Unfortunately most thursdays and fridays I’m in charge at work and because we are a small company we tend to work long hours just to keep going and get the work done (curse you global recession!). Now Powerfist runs from 6pm-11pm, I’ll be lucky if I’m home for 6pm, by the time I’ve walked my Dog, eaten and got ready its not really worth going as I might not get a game
The moral of the story is if you like warhammer don’t work or study then you will have time for gaming! Of course not working and collecting an army…yeah good luck with that lol
Hey guys, So after reviewing my latest tutorial, as well as reading a comment over at Col. Shofer’s blog HERE , I decided that my Combi-Plasma tutorial was poorly executed. So rather than repost the tutorial, I’ll just throw up my much better finished pictures, and edit the tutorial I did yesterday: That’s how your Combi-Plasma should come out. Take your time and use the plasticard. I dropped two little pieces in as the base, glued a top piece on to level it out, then sanded the plasticard to match the roundness of the Plasma Nozzle. Then its just a simple matter of Greenstuff to fill in the cracks! This took me about 25 minutes or so, but is extremely easy to do! Also, I got impatient and managed to get a little more use out of my Scorpion Green. I got the Powerfist for the Aspiring Champion almost finished; I need to do the cords and hit the metal with a light wash. So his Power Weapon: and the detail work therein: To the Power Fist: and the detail therein! Damn light sheen.
Hey guys, So with some final touches, the Redeemer and the Vindicator are finished! I had a blast painting these, especially the GK FW doors, as well as the green on the Vindicator. I had thought about doing a Salamanders army at one point, so it was nice to be able to try a color I don’t usually get to do! The red really breaks up the white and syncs the entire model. The smoke stains are done by lightly drybrushing black around the vents. And with the reference model the client sent me. Excellent match! And together, fighting the forces of Chaos with Flamer and Psycannon I’ll get a better picture at some point. Finally, the last part of the commission is a GK Halberd arm and Terminator Librarian that the client wanted weapon swaps on. The Halberd fits nicely with the Terminator Librarian arm. The other arm requires a little bit of plasticard and Green Stuff to get to match nicely. It’ll look better and more precise with some paint, which I should get done tomorrow night! Finally, I’ve gotten the Green Stuff work done on my Skull Champion. The torso and backpack are from Possessed, the legs are a modified pair of Khorne Berserker legs, the head is a Tactical Squad Sgt head, and the Powerfist comes from the Dark Angels with the sword symbol hacked off
Continuing my review of the Black Templars Codex, we come to…the Chaplain! A warrior who epitomises death and hatred incarnate, these can be a formidable addition to any Black Templar army. First off, their special rules. While
