Well, just in time for Christmas (or not actually), Forgeworld has released two more great tanks. Macharius Omega From Forgeworld: While the sins of innovation and initiative are frowned upon by the Adeptus Mechanicus, new patterns and designs of weapons and armoured vehicles are still created. The Macharius Omega is one such vehicle, created with a single focus, that of the battlefield deployment of the Omega Pattern Plasma Blastgun. The STC for this weapon was originally discovered by Explorator-Magus Hum’nal in late M39, but a Mechanicus schism over the purity and completeness of its template delayed the testing and eventual deployment of the Omega pattern weapon for centuries. The Macharius Omega, designed by Stuart Williamson , is an extremely detailed full resin kit featuring some incredible interior detail. This open-topped super-heavy tank also includes two unique crew figures: a Cadian gunner and a calculus-servitor. This mighty war machine is available to pre-order now for release in the week commencing 6th January, and full rules for using the Macharius Omega in games of Apocalypse can be found in Imperial Armour Apocalypse Second Edition . Hi Mercer We had a short discussion about las- or plasma cannons in a storm raven last weekend so I decided to contact you about my own army list. Here is my tournament list for this autumn and I thought if you can give me few pointers what to do and how to play with it. Librarian, jp, shield, fear (125) 2x Priests, jp (150) Furioso, talons (125) Furioso, fists (125) 10 ASM, 2x melta, pf (235) 10 ASM, 2x melta, pf (235) 10ASM, Flamer, pf (220) Storm Raven, mm, pc (200) Storm Raven, mm, pc (200) Auto/las Predator (135) 1750pts The list works fine but it’s not near perfect. All kinds of GK give me a lot of head ache. The 30 marines usually gets killed quite fast even with fnp and won’t be able to capture objectives end game. If ravens survive to the second turn (rare against gk dreads) I usually have a chance for a draw, but you don’t with that result. I don’t want to make my list a total gk counter but little help would be appreciated. Auto/las predator is very out of place in this list but it has been working quite nice taking out transports so that marines can get in to CC.
Hi all Here is one Limited Edition model – Hurn AKA Predator Spellscape Miniatures blog
To start with – Holy cow, this is post #199! I’ll have to think up something cool for 200… A little bit of brush time allowed me to finish off the Land Raider and Rhino that I’ve been working on for the Thousand Sons, as well as getting the Predator almost caught up.
While I was about it, I got the red on the Mk.1c Predator and Rhino kits I’d picked up from Machinator at Blood and Skulls Industries . The red followed the same recipe (Dark Flesh, Red Gore, Blood Red, Baal Red), I am quite pleased at how well these hearken back to the original kits, while maintaining the somewhat more ‘chunky’ current-era models.
A Blood Raven's predator stares down my chaos space marine force.
Hey m8… thanks for your input on my army list.. I’ve been working like mad on it and I’d love to hear what you think to the updates… HQ Librarian with JP 125 Troop 10 man assault squad 2x Meltagun PF – combat shield (Sergeant) 240 Troop 10 man assault squad 2x Meltagun PF – combat shield (Sergeant) 240 Troop Tactical Squad Meltagun/ Missile Launcher Power fist/ combi-Meltagun (Sergeant) 200 Elites Furioson dread Blood talons 125 Fast Attack Predator Tank Twin-linked las Las sponsons 180 Heavy support Stormraven Gunship Extra Amour 215 Heavy support Vindicator 155 Total 1488 Blood Angel – Strike Force Team A (Main attacking force) The assault squad’s along with the Librarian move forward with the vindicator (which will act as anit-tank support). The squads are armed with melta-guns to deal with tank and also help incase anything happens to the vindicator. The squads are also armed with with Flamer to help deal with infantry units. Team B (strategic point capture and backup fire support ) The Stormraven Gunship will drop both the Tactical Squad along with a Furiosco dread at or near to a strategic point they wish to take or capture. (Also if the need calls for it team B can also be used as back up for Team A as the gunship can drop the Tactical Squad in a location where they can provide fire support before moving forward and dropping the Furiosco dread in the heart of the battle.) The Baal will go where it is needed the most. Giving out anti-infantry/tank cover support. Team A…
