This week’s hobby goals are focused on my up and coming Tyranid army. Due to the fact that the first meeting for our FLGS Escalation League is next Saturday, I have a bunch of Gaunts to assemble. My to do list for next week is very simple: Assemble 48 Guants Assemble 12 Genestealers My list for the first 500 points is very simple and is mainly being used to start the process of fleshing out my list as we move forward. The list is: HQ: Tervigon with Scything Talons, Toxin Sacs, Cluster Spines, and Catalyst ELITE: 6 Ymgarl Genestealers TROOPS: 7 Toxin Sac Genestealers 10 Termagaunts. 497 points Simple and very limited at 500 points, but as we move forward, I hope it will become more of a diversified threat.

I finished these last night. They are Warhammer Fantasy Dire Wolves, I got Tyranid Genestealer scything talons and cut off the ball joints and stuck them on the shoulders. I’m going to raid my bitz box a bit more and see if I can find anything I could use as thin tongues or something. I think once painted the decaying roting appearance of the Dire Wolves will suit the Khymerae nicely.

This weekend turned into a double-header as Scott and I played a 1500pt game this afternoon after my game last night. I’ve been dying to play his Tyranids again as last time was a bit of whitewash since Scott didn’t have a full selection of models available. Hey everyone, So as the title shows, I got both a new, redone list drawn up, as well as my Tyranid Carnifex kit, today. I’ll share the list in a little bit. I was hoping to get my Tervigon started today, but alas… The back end of the Carnifex was missing! I’ve had stuff missing before, so I just dropped an email to Games-Workshop and they’ll probably just replace the kit, which would be really nice. So hopefully, I’ll have the stuff in time to start on a Tuesday Tutorial section about how I really built my Tervigon. Anyways, the list.

It lost by a lot but the much needed anti tank did ok doing damage, just shield of sanguinus kept making the saves. I think it has potential and I could perhaps squeeze another 'Fex in, maybe.

With the new codex, everyone’s taking a second look at all of their favorite units of old. Let’s see how they treated genestealers. WS:6, BS:0, S:4, T:4, W:1, I:6, A:2, Ld:10, Sv:5+ Cost: 14 pts/model. Brood Telepathy : Genestealers are not subject to Instinctual Behavior. They don’t freak out when out of synapse range.
