Orks were a funny one in 5th, they are like marmite, you either like them or you don’t. I’ve always had a love for the greenskins. I think that a lot of 40k players like them, they are a cool but brutal army. I think the more serious competitive tournament players probably do not like them due to their random nature, which I admit is annoying, but this can be avoided. All of the Ork special rules got effected by 6th ed and I think for the better. Waaaagh gives Orks the fleet rule and in 6th fleet allows you to re-roll assault distances, very nice. Furious charge lost the initiative bonus, but lets be truth that doesn't bother

Hey guys, So I’m thinking a bunch of little blog posts might work better than the occasional huge post, so I’m gonna try this format a little more and see if it works better. Anyways, over halfway through the Black Templars commission, planning to have the whole thing done this evening! Loving these models, I’m sure one would look good in Alpha Legion colors…. Finished pictures up this evening! Maybe I’ll get a shot of my Warboss I did the last couple of evenings too…hmmm…. Granesh
I finally completed my first unit of Nob Bikers. Each Nob has a different profile for the saves
At Powerfist gaming club last night. Had a game against Jack and his Orks. Tyranids “Hive Fleet Kraken” – 2,000 points HQ Hive Tyrant -
KILLFACE Before joining Da Silensurz, Killface was a dead killy Stormboy with many battles behind his scarred back, but It wasn’t until his entire mob of boyz, his Warboss and every other ork besides him got wiped out of their planet by the hammer of the Inquisition that Killface decided to play it cool and think for once. Sneakin’ around like a grot he hid underneath an Inquisitorial Chimera using a magnetized tankbusta bomb and waited patiently until the vehicle returned to the ship. There Killface lurked in the shadows, killing and eating unfortunate passengers until the day Mork (or possibly Gork) smiled upon him and sent an Ork Krooza straight into the hull of the ship. Long story short, Killface managed to reunite with the invading Orkz and after revenge was served he decided that some thinking and patience were pretty cool as long as they led to some blood on his bladez. Silent – even when not on a mission, Killface always wears his Stormboy bandana around his mouth and nose unless he’s eating or drinking and even then he stays away from others. Da Silensurz were the first Blood Axes that he stumbled upon after his “imprisonment” and despite their noisy big shoota raids, Killface enjoys the company of the other Kommandos. They are a nice distraction, allowing him to move and strike unnoticed.
Went to my local gaming club and had a game with a new fella, Paul. Paul has been playing since November I think he said, mostly against his son who got him into the hobby. This will be his first game against someone else. Orks “‘Ead Manglers Ladz” – 1,500 points HQ 1 x Warboss -
Had two games over Christmas. Didn’t bother taking any pictures of the first as I’d probably forget what happened as it was Wednesday last week (it was Tyranids vs Blood Angels – win for me), last nights game is my Orks with a slightly modified list with Grots and full house of dethrollas. Orks “‘Ead Manglers Lads” – 2,000 points HQ 1 x Warboss -
I took my Orks to Kris’ (Justicar Alaric) place on Friday. I haven’t used my Orks for a bit and last time I played Kris with Orks is when he had crappy lists, lol, he will admit to this. But now he’s using decent lists I’ll see how they fare, but Devs are crap and he needs to get a single tank and Furioso Librarian Orks “‘Ead Manglers Lads” – 2,000 points HQ 1 x Warboss -
