That is true, the thing is very hideous. I think in that way it is well done. It depicts a horrible messed up chaos thing very well. Doing something so god-awful in it's looks is a very brave thing to do. Most models are made to be beautiful. Having that tail sticking up like that was also a bold move. People often see tails as the bit on a model they have to do to finish it. Rarely is the tail given a prominent role.
