Ha ha... Yeah - personally I don't really care what method is used. When Kuffy mentioned finding out what your "person" wanted rather than painting something random I was thinking of an even simpler way of meeting those goals...
Personally I like the idea of the person getting what they get. Simply from the perspective of an "art" perspective rather than a "game" perspective. Your "person" is more likely to put forth the very best effort in creating something that they like.
