| Apocalypse: Horus Heresy
After reading the first three Horus Heresy books (I know I'm a bit behind, but I've been broke for some time.) I thought I'd have a go at writing rules for the Primarchs, both during the Heresy and pre-heresy, as well as a few pre-heresy units for various legions. Generic Primarch Rules: Lords of the Legion: The Primarchs are Lords of their Legions and commanders of men. Each Primarch is a military commander without equal, and second only to the emperor himself. As such, can choose to pass or fail any Leadership, Pinning or Morale test he has to take (Even if failure is normally automatic) Rites of Battle: As per Space Marine Commanders; All Space Marine squads may use the Primarchs Leadership for any Leadership, Pinning or Morale tests, but not Phsyic tests. Command Squad: Primarchs may choose to be acompanied by their retinue, which is detailed in their individual stat lines. Any Primarch Retinue that is destroyed in Game is worth double Victory points. While acomapnied by his retinue, the Primarch will not suffer any wounds, until the command squad has been completley destoryed; the members of the command squad take the bullerts for their beloved Primarch. The command Squad may also include the Legion Banner for +30 points. The Legion Banner has the same rules as per the Chapter Banner in the Space Marine Codex, excapt that the range ins increased to 24 inches. Gods of War: It is extremely difficult to kill a Primarch. To represent this, when a Primarch is reduced to zero wounds, they take a Leadership test at -1 Ld. If the test is passed then the Primarch remains on the board with 1 wound remaining. Any further Regeneration tests add andother -1 to the leadership of the Primarch. (ie: the first test will be taken at Ld 9, the second at Ld 8, the third at Ld 7 etc.) If the Primarch fails any of these tests, or is unable to take any more (reduced to Ld 1) then he is removed from the board, as well as 25% of any remaining troops of his Legion, who escort their wounded Primarch to the nearest Medical Facility. Power of the Legion: A Pirmarch will only ever take to the field of battle when their presence is truly needed. Pirmarchs may only be used in Apocalypse battles of 4,000 points or more. Generic Pre-Heresy Space Marine Rules: Horrors of the Warp: At this time, the true dangers of the warp are unknown by all save those in positions of Command. Any Pre-Heresy Space Marines that are not within 12" of their primarch suffer -1 Ld for all Phsycic Tests. Restricted Weapons: At this time, Plasma and Melta weponary are still being developed. There can only be one Plasma Cannon per every 500 points and no Plasma guns or Pistols. There can only be one Melta gun per every 500 points, and only one Multi-melta per every 1000 points. Pre-Heresy Terminators: As with Plasma and Melta weaponary, Termiator is still in the stanges of development. Squads of Terminators Include a Sargent and two to five Marines in Terminator Armour and are a 0-1 choice. Assault cannons have not yet been developed. For +15 pts. one terminator may be equiped with a Reaper Autocannon with the Following stats: Range:36" S7 AP4 Heavy2 Twin-linked For +5 points, the Reaper Autocannon may be upgraded to a Ravener Auto Cannon, which has the same Stats as an Assult Cannon Warmaster Horus 545 points (Basic)
