. my m8 had a good 1, but since he dosent have an acount on here il post on his behalf.
We were taking part in a big apoc game, cant remember how many points exctly but it was between 10-12k a side. He was playing dark angels, deep striked his 5 terminators on a hill in the evil deployment zone. (this is where the luck starts) if hed roled to scatter even an inch in any direction, he would have been destroyed (it was in the corner of the table, so he would have ended up off, or in the back of a baneblade).
he managed to get bang on target, then not only did they survive shots from 3 mobs of ork boys, as well as some chaos marines (not loosing a single wonld), but he threw a vortex grenade, hitting the baneblade bang on, and when it came to scatter, it crossed both a predator and a demon prince, wiping a large proportion of the evil flank. all us evil players were gobsmacked. rightly so his termies were swiftly wiped out from assaults by the orks and chaos, but my god.......
