I would add something about creative use of Carrion. They can be used to "range" for the Screaming Skull Catapult. You always place the Carrion and the Catapult last and put the birds lined up so their edge is as far forward as that of the Catapult.

This allows you to take off on your normal first turn tear across the board toward the target of choice. The trick is to fly over that unit (or any target) you mean to target with the catapult. This means you will be measuring for the movement of the Carrion and you will know exactly the range to shoot. The birds are acting (as real life arial forces do) arial recon.
