I would have to say yes i would have a problem with this.
This is a miniature wargame, the key word there is
miniatures.
If you can't afford to buy the miniatures then frankly get a job.
I don't mean to be nasty, but 40k is not meant to be about who can make the most uber army list, it's a whole hobby with gaming only being one aspect of it.
The miniatures under pin the whole hobby for me, so no miniatures no hobby as far as i'm concerned.
And i wish the other members of the Luton club took modeling and painting abit more seriously, as it's a bit dishearting to spend a lot of time, effort and money to bulid a nice looking army to have it creamed by someone who doesnt own a codex for their army or 90% of the correct models. Which happend last time i played at the Luton club,
i faced chaos marines, that had no arms or weapons so my opponent was often guessing which marines had the power fist or the lascannon.
