I'm not a photographer but here's my basic suggestions...

- Get as close to the figure as possible (1" to 3") while getting the whole figure in the shot

- Make sure your shot is perfectly focused (fuzzy pics suck!)

- Shoot a 3/4 profile shot (not straight-on shot or side-shot)

- Take the shot from a slightly raised position (1" or 2") above the figure

- Have at least two (2) light sources coming from opposite directions to make sure your figure's detail isn't obscured in shadow

Tubal's suggestion to google for tips is a great tip ***pats Tubal on the back***
