Problem with the craft paints is they use chalk as an additive as well as large pigments. It will not cover as good as paint designed for miniature models. If you want to go cheap and don't care about the quality of your paintjob then craft paints are the way to go. If you are serious about a good paintjob then I suggest getting a good model paint. Just remember you get what you pay for - which almost always rings true!
