I am a ulthwe player myself (secondary army) so I know wat the differences are. And the difference is huge you dont have that much 3+/4+ save CC units like striking scorpions and howling banshees with there special masks anymore. Also you wont be able to go playing cheese with 3 WL a council with fortune 4 mw with 8 warlocks etc stuff but wat you do get is that you are alot faster you are alot more mobile and its alot more challeging playing DE. You cant rely on your armour 12 transports or holo fields spirit stone stuff etc instead your transports will get shot down before you even can say missisipi
. You do get superiour troops compared to our black guardians and you do get a CC monster HQ instead of the farseer. DE and CWE dont look alike that much because your cheese factor will get tackled down I dont know a way how to play cheese with DE now I think about it. . . Anyway dont expect De is like howling banshees stuff them in a wave boost forward and next turn your in if you think its like that then your better of in another section. We do need planning how to get our units in CC and we cant rely on all kind of nifty upgrades to save our transports. Visit some DE sites look upon tactics or skim trough batlle reports. It should give you a general ID also were working on the De faq atm wich contains for now alot of info about the units eough to make up your mind if you ask me. Anyway De is different from ulthwe trust me im the best person to ask this question (If some1 thinks thats not the case then say it )
