I suggest reading the 3rd edition Chaos FAQ, it will answer all your questions. Its 16 pages tho so have fun
Remember, 4th edition FAQs dont have all the answers, they are designed primarly to help you adapt your codex to 4th edition rules not reanswer the old questions again
