Ok, I was thinking, and it occoured to me...there should be a generic formula for the most percentage of Armour (vehicles), equipment (Upgrades) and Troops (model Count) you should take. I mean, im looking at it, and in my opinion, a versatile 2000pt army should have:
1/3 Vehicles (transports, Tanks, Etc.) roughly 600pts
2/3 Troops roughly 1200pts
the other 200 pts is for wargear/upgrades...
what does everyone think? What percentages do you all try to adhere to ?

OK standard tourney composition points are based on:
Troops > 40% of overall total
All other types (HQ,FA,Elites and HS) each <25%
of course this kind of goes for a burton where poeple get changes to org charts (eg Siam Hann, Night lords etc etc
But basically sticking to the above will give you a balanced army if that is what you want
Everything you have been told is a lie!
