Yes, one more of those. The termies advance behind the close combat squads, and the havocs are shielded by the shooty troops. Pretty straightforward methinks. I gave some models teleport homers in case I get to deepstrike. 1 Chaos Lieutenant (HQ) @ 301 Pts Mark of Chaos Undivided; Power Weapon (x1) Kai Gun Melta-Bombs Daemonic Aura 4 Chosen Terminators @ [191] Pts Mark of Chaos Undivided; Chainfist (x1); Lightning Claw (x1); Power Weapon (x2); Combi-Bolter (x2); Combi-Melta (x1); Reaper Autocannon (x1) #Terminator Armour [0] 6 Chosen Terminators @ [272] Pts Mark of Chaos Undivided; Power Fist (x2); Power Weapon (x4); Combi-Bolter (x4); Reaper Autocannon (x2) #Terminator Armour [0] 1 Obliterator Cult (Elites) @ 70 Pts Power Fist; Autocannon; Heavy Bolter; Lascannon; Missile Launcher; Flamer; TL Meltagun; TL Plasma Gun #Daemon Armour [0] #Daemonic Aura [0] 1 Obliterator Cult (Elites) @ 70 Pts Power Fist; Autocannon; Heavy Bolter; Lascannon; Missile Launcher; Flamer; TL Meltagun; TL Plasma Gun #Daemon Armour [0] #Daemonic Aura [0] 8 Chaos Space Marines (Troops) @ 182 Pts Mark of Chaos Undivided; CC Weapon (x ; Bolter (x6); Lascannon (x1);Flamer (x1) 1 Aspiring Champion @ [41] Pts Mark of Chaos Undivided; Great Weapon; Plasma Pistol (x1) 8 Chaos Space Marines (Troops) @ 178 Pts Mark of Chaos Undivided; CC Weapon (x ; Bolter (x6); Lascannon (x1);Plasma Gun (x1) 1 Aspiring Champion @ [33] Pts Mark of Chaos Undivided; CC Weapon (x1); Combi-Flamer 8 Chaos Space Marines (Troops) @ 173 Pts Mark of Chaos Undivided; CC Weapon (x ; Bolter (x6); Lascannon (x1);Plasma Gun (x1) 1 Aspiring Champion @ [28] Pts Mark of Chaos Undivided; Bolter 8 Chaos Space Marines (Troops) @ 176 Pts Mark of Chaos Undivided; CC Weapon (x ; Bolter (x6); Lascannon (x1);Plasma Gun (x1) 1 Aspiring Champion @ [31] Pts Mark of Chaos Undivided; Combi-Bolter 8 Chaos Space Marines (Troops) @ 198 Pts Mark of Chaos Undivided; CC Weapon (x ; Bolt Pistol (x6); Autocannon(x1); Meltagun (x1) 1 Aspiring Champion @ [58] Pts Mark of Chaos Undivided; Power Fist (x1); Combi-Melta Teleport Homer 8 Chaos Space Marines (Troops) @ 179 Pts Mark of Chaos Undivided; CC Weapon (x ; Bolt Pistol (x6); Flamer (x1);Meltagun (x1) 1 Aspiring Champion @ [43] Pts Mark of Chaos Undivided; Power Weapon (x1); Bolt Pistol (x1) Teleport Homer 6 Havocs (Heavy Support) @ 182 Pts CC Weapon (x6); Bolter (x2); Missile Launcher (x4) #Tank Hunters 6 Havocs (Heavy Support) @ 162 Pts CC Weapon (x6); Bolter (x2); Heavy Bolter (x4) #Infiltrate 1 Chaos Predator (Heavy Support) @ 185 Pts Autocannon; Heavy Bolter Sponsons Havoc Launcher Mutated Hull Daemonic Possession 1 Chaos Dreadnought (Heavy Support) @ 170 Pts Front Armour: 12; Side Armour: 12; Rear Armour: 10; Missile Launcher; Plasma Cannon Havoc Launcher Daemonic Possession Models in Army: 81 Total Army Cost: 2498

Looks fine but the Dread will probably stand out a bit, I have never been a fan of Dreads because it is 170 points that could (and is likely to) die in one lascannon shot. What about a Vindicator or basilisk, they are not too many points and have a lot of destructive power. What army will this be playing against? or is it for a tournament? |

I like the those sneaky heavy bolter gunners!!! They would be great to mess up the hive mind's plans early in the game! But why the bolter/CCW weapon combo? Wouldn't the good ol' bolt pistol/CCW be a little better? Also, I think that you could take on enough vehicles and low save foot soldiers, but nothing says die! like an enraged (and cheap) dread with 2, count 'em: 2, dread CCWs!!!! And if he dies before he gets to close combat, then that 100 points or so just bought you a good portion of a round of not getting shot!

It's an army that's supposed to do at least reasonable against most armies, though it would most commonly fight IG and DA. I know a Dread is fairly vulnerable, but I like the model a lot, and it's just cool to have 8 blast markers to hurl at your opponent if the thing frenzies =^^_^_^= . I use bolters because, well, I have em. I only have 12 normal CSM with bolt pistols and close combat weapons, and they're organised into 2 squads. A Dread with 2 close combat weapons is cool, but I want all the shooting power I can get, and my other Dread is currently being prepared for joining the ranks of the World Eaters.

Why don't you use a Basalisk or Vindicator? As you're the only Chaos to have them you may aswell take advantage of that! I'd swap a Basalisk for the Dread, i'ts always annoying when you have to get rid of something so far away, it messes up your opponents game plan. Just my thoughts. Good for the rest of it thoigh, looks a solid army. Chris

Actually, Iron Warriors would be more fluffy if they had bolters/CCW instead of bolt pistols/CCW. Don't ask me why. It's just a feeling. Maybe because bolters have more rounds to pump into each defender as the Iron Warriors clear trench lines and bunkers!

Donny B, that is exactly why I only have a few models armed with bolt pistols. They're meant to be shooty, and they can do that better with a bolter.
