    - WGBL rides with these guys Assault, Counter-Attack force

In personal opinion you should give your wolf priest healing balms and slap him with the blood claws. You could add some survivabiltiy to an already small force.

drop the wirlwind, and get some longfangs. that deviding fire thing kicks ass.

and your army is currently illeagal. you have to have EXACLY 1 hq for every 750 points of your amy. after that id drop the preist, and the dread to get more grey hunters.

Don't think its illegal, with the rule, isn't it 1 HQ for every 750 pts, or part there of?
    ie for 750 pts 1 HQ, 750-1500 2 HQ?
any advice how I can get the points to add in Long Fangs, don't want to reduce whats already a small force too much.

its legal dont worry about it. Drop the WGBL and the dread for a venerable dread, youll save points that way and be able to get another grey hunter or 2. Make sure you can guess ranges, if you cant, forget about the whirlwind and just get a predator with lascannon side sponsons, the destructor will do just fine for 1000 points.Only get long fangs if you can give them all missile launchers. Then youll want to drop the dread and the whirlwind and just screen them behind the blood claws. Youll have enough points left over to give that blood claw squad its 3rd close combat weapon.

Thanks, still debating Whirlwind or Pred.Like them both(can't afford both damn...)
Could drop the dread, and a few of the BC to get the Predator.
Revised list droppped the WGBL, added some GH, look good?

    HQ

    1. Wolf Priest (1) with Power wpn(crozius), Bolt Pistol, Iron Wolf Amulet(Rosarius),

    2. Ven Dreadnought (1) with Assault Cannon, Smoke Launchers(158 pts)

    Troops

    1. Grey Hunters (10) with 1 x Power Weapon, 1 x Plasma Gun (202 pts)
    - advances while providing fire support

    2. Grey Hunters ( with 1 x Meltagun, 1 x Power Fist, 1 x Power weapon
Rhino(1) with Extra Armour, smoke launchers (229pts)

No, im almost posative. because i remember reding that they have a realy tight milatary sistem. but either way, you should avoid more than 1 high point character. this means get rid of the venirable dread, and one of you hq.

definatly take a pred instead. whirlwinds SUCK.

if you follow all my advice, then you should have about 175 points left, which is more that enogh for a longfang squad.

hmm, go with the list you had the first time, drop the dread and the whirlwind and get either a missile long fang squad, or a predator. As much as i love dreads they die easily in these small games. Get a good squad of long fangs, they are a bit more affordable by the way moneywise.

Space wolves are anything but a tight military system. The codex says that you need 1 hq for every 750 pts

    1-750 pts 1 hq

    751 - 1500 2 hqs

    etc.

I was thinking something like this

Wolf priest w/ healing balms- 120 (attaches to blood claw squad or squad that will take the most fire

WGBL frost blade, bolt pistol, runic charm - 86

    Troops

    1. Grey Hunters ( with 1 x Power Weapon, 1 x Plasma Gun (166 pts)
    - advances while providing fire support

    2. Grey Hunters (7) with 1 x Meltagun, 1 x Power Fist, 1 x Power weapon
Rhino(1) with Extra Armour, smoke launchers (212 pts)
    - WGBL rides with these guys Assault, Counter-Attack force

    3. Blood Claws (14) with 1 x power weapon, 1 x power fist, 1 x Flamer (230 pts)

    Heavy support

    Long Fangs (5) 4 w/ missile launchers- 188

    or

Wolf priest w/ healing balms- 120 (attaches to blood claw squad or squad that will take the most fire

WGBL frost blade, bolt pistol, runic charm - 86

    Troops

    1. Grey Hunters ( with 1 x Power Weapon, 1 x Plasma Gun (166 pts)
    - advances while providing fire support

    2. Grey Hunters (9) with 1 x Meltagun, 1 x Power Fist, 1 x Power weapon
Rhino(1) with Extra Armour, smoke launchers (254 pts)
    - WGBL rides with these guys Assault, Counter-Attack force

    3. Blood Claws (15) with 1 x power weapon, 2 x power fist ( i dropped the flamer because according to the assault rules, the entire squad has to fire if one unit fires, therefore you lose the +2 attack which is why you buy blood claws in the first place&#33 (242 pts)

    Heavy support

Predator destructor w/ lascannon side sponsons- 125

Thanks for the help mrmeeper, like that last list, still want the whirlwind(cue temper tantantrum...) If i have to live without it will endeavour, to adapt improvise and overcome if I can't squeeze it in, think I'll stick with the pred, may last longer than LF(In my experience they tend to be targeted first, then die, in a messy gory manner...)

Well I'll use that second list if that's ok, add some extra armour to the pred for survivability, still light on for fire support? might be best to stick with the Space wolf way "into 'em lads! last one there's a snotling lover!"

ok, ok, ok. i was wrong.

but i still think you should drop the WGBL for more troops... other than that your list should be ready to kick some ass.
