BBB, big black book
BGB, big grey book
I've notice that people call the 40k Instruction book the BGB, big black book. I've always called it the BBB, big black book.
BGB here... I always thought it was Basic Game Book...

Depends on your idea of where shades of Grey end, and shades of Black begin. I personally always refer to it as the BGB, because that's what I've always heard, and am more familiar/used to.
I think it was black, but we used black in another sense to, like the 40k bible. Bible is usually black leather and what not so... yeah. Just want to hear what people called it.
I say BGB but not because its that "gray" book. Big Game Book.

BGB = Big Green Book = 4th Edition 40k Rulebook
BBB = Big Black Book = 3rd Edition 40k Rulebook
BRB = Big Red Book = 6th Edition Fantasy Rulebook
The second letter refers to the prevailing color of the cover.
