After a few days getting advice on the deamonhunters forum ive finally come up with a 1000pt list and intend to take it to slayer day (conflict Northampton).
I took a guard platoon in preference of more greyknights because i dont trust myself with really small armies and ive allready got some and as im on a small budjet amd need to get it all painted thats very important.

    HQ:
    Inquisitor Lord-Psycannon
Henchmen: 2 sages, acolyte wuth storm bolter, gun servitor with heavy bolter and gs with mult-melta.

    Elites:
    Death Cult assasin.

    Troops:
    10 Stormtroopers with 2 flamers.
    In Rhino with smoke launchers.

    5 Grey knights-justicar.

5 Grey Knights- justicar and 2 psycannons.

    Inducted infantry platoon:
Command section: Junior officer laspitol and ccw, autocannon team.
    Squad A. Lascannon team
    Squad B. Flamer
    Squad C. Grenade launcher.

    total=1000pts.

    any advice would be useful

Tactics are for the two grey knight squads two advance with the assasin and stormtropers in their rhino advancing up the flank. Guard squads B and C act as cannon fodder and the other two guard squads and the inquisitor and his henchmen provide supporting fire.

you need lots more anti tank stuff. you might want to take an AT gard platoon. to aford that, I would drop the assasin and some henchmen.

other than that, it seems like a solid list.

    Inducted infantry platoon:
Command section: Junior officer laspitol and ccw, autocannon team.
    Squad A. Lascannon team
    Squad B. Flamer
    Squad C. Grenade launcher.
Your Guardsmen are probably better suited to anti-tank over assaulting/close range shooting. Try this:

    Inducted infantry platoon:
    Command section: lascannon
    Squad A. lascannon
    Squad B. autocannon

If you want to add more squads, I'd throw a missile launcher team or two in there. Leave the flamers and such to the Grey Knights and IST's.

I can change squad cs grenade launcher to a lascannon if i drop the acolyte then Ill still have one guard squad to hide my greyknights behind and then ive still got 3 anti-tank squads and the inquisitors henchman to provide a firebase.
    Heres my revised list:
    HQ:
    Inquisitor Lord-Psycannon
Henchmen: 2 sages, gun servitor with heavy bolter and gs with mult-melta.

    Elites:
    Death Cult assasin.

    Troops:
    10 Stormtroopers with 2 flamers.
    In Rhino with smoke launchers.

    5 Grey knights-justicar.

5 Grey Knights- justicar and 2 psycannons.

    Inducted infantry platoon:
Commandsection: Junior officer laspitol and ccw, autocannon team.
    Squad A. Lascannon team
    Squad B. Flamer
    Squad C. lascannon team.

    total=999pts.
    Is this better?
I now have a stongers firebase with my greyknights and , IST and assasin either going forward (with GK hiding behind squad or counterattacking against assualt armies.

Move one of those greyknight squads to fast attack (the one without the psycannons, preferably). Somewhat superfluous to have 3 troop squads when one of them could be deepstriking to the front lines instead of walking.

Personally, the multi-melta is just too short range. If there is a tank within 12" (or even 24") of this firebase then you are in serious trouble.

On a more humourous note, the plasma cannon is worth tking just for the look it puts on any marine player's face.
