I am preparing for my first real tournament. Propably I will be facing all types of armies, but the most common will be SM and CSM(I think).
Winged Tyrant: double scyting talons, warp blast, implant attack, all stat upgrades
3 leaping warriors: rending claws, scyting talons, normal stats (without bs), ext. carapace
6 winged rippers
28 spinegaunts: 1 hive node
2 broods per 16 leaping gaunts : In upgrade, scyting talons, 1 hive node(per brood)
2 broods of 7 genestealers
2 Biovores : each has 1 poison and 1 bio-acid
3 zoanthropes with warp blast
carnifex with venom cannon, scyting talons and ext. carapace.
Alternatively I can change 8 genestealers to another warrior brood (the same as listed above)
What would You add/change in this list. All models shown, I have. I'm looking for some feedback.
Green Tide will consume You all!
Well, it looks like your list is really well balanced towards fightning everything. Something I've noticed is that this is nice, but for some reason Nids don't like being balanced. Call me crazy, but it seems their overall effiecency goes down when you build armies like this. I could be wrong, but I'm never wrong, so there Try putting Genestealers in for some of the Gaunts. They don't move as fast, but if they get there, they sure start the killey up pretty good. The last tournament I went to I saw a Nid army that was a Tyrants, a Fex, and the rest of the 1200 points was Genestealers. If I recall, it actually tore all the SMurf Players up on a 4x4 board. Try something like that maybe, changing it around to fit your preferances.

Wait, you mean that optimism isn't fashionable anymore?!

Soup's up, bitches!
Problem with a mass genestealer army is that it is expensive and quite fragile.
It seems quite solid, not my kind of army (Im a CC man), but it is still nice.
However, im wondering... winged rippers? Never even seen anyone begin to think about using them... could be VERY useful. If they get in fast enough with sucky CC units (Fire Warriors, Grots, etc...), they could kill some guys. Also, if they get in fast enough, they can block LOS for a turn or two, which is VERY useful with Stealer armies. Good original idea, and good luck with your tourney.
A change from the usual, I won't quote the list and give pointers, simply because the list doesn't warrant any! Looks very good!
Well, I could bitch about the Rippers, but everybody knows I'd do that anyway, so I won't.
One thing I would consider is making the existing 'Stealer broods into 2x8 or 2x9, and drop the third.
For the points, either more Leaping Gaunts, or a Biovore.
But up to You, and I'd say You can do well as is.
"The meat things seek to destroy ourselves. They hunt us as we hunt them but they are weak and uncertain. The inferior flesh will be entirely destroyed, all biomatter consumed. Ourselves will fight to the last, all weak flesh must be devoured."
Yeah the army list looks very balanced, my only concern is the fact your only taking 1 HiveTyrant, and well sometimes if your enemy gets lucky and your 1 tyrant goes splat early on you could be in trouble.
So personally i would change the 8 stealers and maybe a zoanthrope for an extra
Tyrant, just to give your swarm that extra punch
overall the list seems very balanced and original so good luck with the torny!
