I want to start a mechanised army, either all-transports, all-'tank' or a mixture of both. One reason is due to my dislike of painting and cutting down on models is a great way to get round it. Also, an army full of large vehicles is pretty damn cool.
So what army can field an effective all-vehicle force?
I'm not a competitive person and play mostly friendlies, but I'd like it to be able to win games. I love converting and building on themes so it should have that going for it. An original theme, perhaps.
Some candidates I thought of:
- Space Marines mounted in Rhinos with supporting Predators or Dreads, Techmarines to support
- Imperial Guard tank company or Storm Troopers in Chimeras
- Eldar Saim-Hann, every unit mounted in Wave Serpent/Falcon (no bikes)
- Deathwing in Land Raiders
- Not strictly vehicles, but a triple Wraithlord list would be pretty neat too
These aren't that original, but you get the idea. Assuming money was no option, what would be your ideal mechanised list?

Mine would be Mech sisters, And as it's for cool rather than winning, lots of rhino squads as troop (ok, these are winny) backed up by pentinte engines.
to theme it better: A crusade, witch-hunters without the witch hunters, get some priests, some converted storm troopers in chimeras for your troops as followers, & lots (9) of pentinent engines as the ultimate symbol (can stick some flagelents in too, as they cool, but not mech-able)
and you can grab some IG allys to fill any stratagy gaps your missing
The 5t ed rules mean hat you need Troop hies, as hey are now the only scoring units. Keeping this in mind I ould suggest an Ork force maxed-out with walkers and Fas Attack vehicles. With a few mobs of Boyz in Trukks and whatever Elites/ HQ units you prefer, a large number of vehicles and assualt capable walkers can be fielded, wth enough Boyz in Trukks to allow youto quickly overwhelm the enemy, than capture objectives at the end of the game.
