    OK,

    Does your chaplain have a bolt pistol?

    Dont like the flamers and the HBs in the same squad, HBs will work against tu, but you will have to stand still to use them so you are never gonna get close enough to shoot the flamers (unless it is some sort of kamikazee firewarrior squad)

    your scout squads: fine, be a boit tempted to give them some anti armour capacity and possible beef up the sgt a little

    your scout sniper squad: I am assuming from the points this is an 8 man squad wit h 8 sniper rifles? this is illegal, you have to have a sgt in the squad and he can not have a sniper rifle

    Troop squad with flamer and ML: same problem as HB and ML

    Your dread needs xtra armour and the assult termies are really questionable for a number of reasons: firstly they are overkill - you dont need assult termies to rip tau appart, secondly he can kill them easily with alot of his weapons, you are basically handing him378 points

    Attack bikes I like,
    Assult marines could do with a tooled up vet sgt

    tornados: I assume these 2 are in 1 squad?

    HS:
    the dev squad I like, both preds could do with extra armour and the annih could do to change its sponsons to las cannon

    drop the attack bikes and make the devastator squad bigger, with only like 5 guys, they die fast and you loose your heavy wepons fairily quickly

    Theres not much point having the twin lascannon and heavy bolters on your sponsons. Your either shooting at infantry or tanks. Your best bet is to specialise it so it can blast armour.

    Hq- Well this is a 3000 point game you could get another hq choice. I use my Chaplian up to 1500-2000ish then I bust out a FC or Librarian to have fun with but thats just me. I assume your chaplian has a bolt pistol?

    Troops- As mentioned above the flamers are an issue I would be tempted to go hvy bolter, plasma gun vs tau, and the other squads maybe Lascannon/plasma gun. Also none of your troops are mobile at all, I guess vs. Tau transports don't last long anyway. With those scouts I would probally tool up your sarg with a power wep. For the sniper squad it was mentioned this is illegal you need that sarg without one. For this squad also I would give em like a hvy. bolter, if its goin got be a base of fire give em a little extra punch. Mostly I would try to get a few more tnak hunter guns in your troops they are cheaper here then elsewhere might as well use em.

    Elite- Dread is ok, give him extra armor. The assualt termies are ya well you don't need to vapourize the tau in cc just beat them. Also in a 3000 points as cheradine mentioned Tau is gonig to have an ass load of AP 2 weps to multch these guys up with pretty badly. In 3000 I know I would have like 9 crisis suits wandering around. Also are you allowing multiple entries in this game? I mean like double force org choices. Tau will be very hard pressed to fit a 3000 point army into, a single choice selection. I tend to nearly fill up on 2000 points another 1000 would be tough. I would probally drop all the termies tho, they don't seem able to get their pts back vs. tau, unless you manage to somehow charge his crisis suits, because after all you can't really assualt the tanks skimmers are so hard to hit in cc.

    Fast Attack- Again I dunno about the attack bikes, those would be a prime crisis suit target for me. They do have the potention to do alot of damage tho. The speeders are ok but I usually leave mine at home in big games, in exchange for a nice bike squad with melta and a tooled up sarg, or usually I make my second hq bike mounted and let em join these guys. For the assualt squad, just give it some more goodies. Tool up your sarg with a power wep and give the squad some plasma pistols all around maybe some nades.

    Hvy. Support- Specialize these guys give one the anti-troop role and the other the Lascannons for the preds. And of course extra armor. The dev squad needs more men badly get like 7-9 for sure.

    General Comments- Well I would deffinatly tool up your troops in a big way get lascannon/plasma/hvy bolters leave those flamers away. Unless you want to mobilize a squad for cc, then flamers can do it. For the squad give them some hvy weps and power weps on the sarg. I would lose those termies all the way, I would maybe consider like a 5-7 man squad thats shooty but still termies are one unit I think that Tau can handle too well. Thats going to free up alot of pts for you, to possibly get more goodies for your assualt squad, maybe a nice bike squad I would see as a bonus. I would (if your good at guessin range) get a whirlwind tau hate templates, in place of that troops shredding pred. Then again you free up more pts, what could you with all these. Well a nice bike squad, followed up with another 10 man assualt squad instead of those landspeeders. Plenty of dreads as well. But then again i'm rambling on a bit with these huge lists I always get kinda antsy but the 2 biggest things I see are 1) Drop those termies 2) Get some more wargear and nice weps all around especially in your troops and that assualt squad.

    Not too bad, there isn't much to take out lots of infantry. Maybe make one of the Dreadnoughts anti-infantry (Assault Cannon, Dreadnought CCW). That should do. Also, give the F. Commander some equipment.

    I dunno if I would take pure attack bikes they do have the nice termie style armor but still. I would take maybe one attack bike group the a normal bike squad with like 2 meltas, and vet sarg with power wep. I'd say still get like 2 Lascannons or more in those troops squads, just because they are fairly cheap in the troops squads. Also get a hvy bolter in that sniper squads its worth it. What items does your FC have anyway hopefully a power wep.

    Actually this is a pretty solid list all around all I think your missing is a few cometic things. One I would drop alot of attack bikes for a normal bike squad of like 7 bikes w/ 2 melta and a vet sarg with power wep. Also some more power weps would be nice, all over like your assualt squads need a power wep sarg for sure, the scouts squads would benifit from it as well. Tau does have pretty good armor saves its nice to ignore them. I like your dreads the way they are (just add extra armor its worth the minor pts), I dunno if you need a troops shreddin dread, doesn;t seem needed you have alot of troops killers. Also extra armor all around is nice if you can make the pts, I would consider makin a few squads with 9 marines just for more nice weps, extra armor and power weps.

    Also I dunno if your not listin it or not but sargs are worth it most often, in like your scouts squads, the moral boost makes them pretty much unbreakable, and adds cc punch.
