Chaos Space Marines
Forces of the Inquisition (Daemon/Witch/Alien Hunters)
I saw the other thread asking what people think the best army is and I figured it would be interesting to see what people think the worst army in 40k is.
Could you define what you mean by 'worst' army, i assume you mean the least competitive army out there, so my vote goes to chaos daemons, but that is just based on personal experience playing agaisnt them and it might just be my opponents who don't play them well.
-A tau, dark eldar and slaanesh csm player
-And always on LO chat..
Yeah I mean the least competitive army.
looking at the poll i think Daemons are unfairly marked, they're a fairly new army, and theirs a LOT of ways to build it, but they have some very effect lists for 5ed, espacially since they can easily dominate 2/3s of the missions in 5ed
that leaves the other majorities of Inquisition, Tau and Necrons.
I think the Inquisition should have been split up, they have different codexs and fight differently, also see Witch Hunters as an effective army this edition being a heavy flamer army with their acts of faith. DHs idk since i haven't seen them play yet, but i did play them in 4ed and they don't seem they'de be spectaculer
and we get to Tau and Crons, i beleive that both armies have potential but are fairly under whelming right now and will have to develop new tactics and re-evaluate their models to meet the new edition
I was tempted to put my own army - the Imperial Guard - due entirely to Killpoints. It is a bit absurd that simply by playing the army as it is supposed to be played (and without wiping out the enemy entirely) you are (nearly, and I say nearly only to avoid absolute language) guaranteed to lose kill point games. That is a fairly poorly concieved gameplay mechanic, I feel.
In terms of how the army itself is played, I feel the Necrons really suffer due to the tremendous reduction in their ability to kill vehicles. I voted Necrons.
"Not Another Step Back! Death to the Enemies of Man!"
I voted Other because Kroot Mercs isn't on the list and regardless of what people say they DO still have a stand-alone army list.
Pretty much all of these armies can fare well against an entire Kroot Merc Force.
Chaos Daemons should not be #1 in this poll. They are way too new and have one of the most unique play styles in 40k. Give the codex a year and the results of this poll would be very different.
Fantasy: Daemons (Angels), 40k: Black Templars
I think any melee army is at a disadvantage, cause you can't sweeping advance any more. This makes it hard for any light armored melee armys to get pwned after the first assault. Makes me sad I miss my Deamonettes.
Tomb Kings, Marines, Eldar
I lolled when I saw how many votes Necrons got. In 1500 pts I use the deceiver and 9 tomb spyders. Its brutal in combat. I don't know why so many people would think necrons suck. DE may have lots of things wrong with their codex in 5th but they are also still brutal if played properly.
I vote Kroot mercs.

Been here nearly 10 years and still haven't managed 500 posts.
I vote for Daemonhunters. While I like the army itself, it lacks the numbers necessary to hold objectives in any reasonably-sized game, and just generally don't play very spectacularly.
