Whilst playing my last game of 40K, I noticed that my wraithlord once again didn't get any hits with his Brightlance. This happens all the freaking time. Anyone else have any units in their army which they field frequently, yet almost every time they try and shoot or whatever, frequently misses? My flatmate h\s the same problem with his Hammerhead's Rail Gun.
I keep tabs on most of my units for fun. The 1000 son battle brother "bob" has yet to survive a single battle of any size and as far as I know has only fired his weapon twice both misses.
The whole point behind having 2 plasmas/or meltas in a 10 man csm squad has been negated by the fact that the plasmas havent killed anything in 5th edition yet and 1 melta gunner has killed more in cc than by shooting.
For some reason, the rokkit on my trukk never can hit much of anything. No idea why
not to derail the thread but the larger importance is usually placed upon the effect you don't want. for example you notice when you roll alot of one's but not when you get better than average successes.
a single die roll fails 50% of the time but to your perceptions it "always misses" because even if it hits there's a ?:6 chance you fail to wound and in most cases a 50% or better chance that it'll be ignored anyway. so even though it was a hit you don't remember a "success" therefore perception details it as a failure.
this is of course assuming you are not "that guy." he can't roll a 6 if you gave him all night.
