    I've seen the new Scout with Missile launcher and its has re-inspired me too take on my scout army project.

    I've also wanted to include quite a few land speeders for a while. I'll be planing this with the new Ed. rules in mind.

    What do you think, I know that the Vindicator doesn't fit the theme, but I needed something hard hitting that would attract the attention away from the speeders.

    So what do you guys think?

    Guy, a scout army is all about theme, not about game strength. Dump the vindicator.

    If you want to find something to soak up fire and distract the enemy, get some scout bikes or more landspeeders. Better yet, fill out a couple of your Scout Squads--especially any CC oriented ones.

    I agree with getting rid of the Vindicator. Stick with a scout theme. Land Speeder Typhoons would be good. Increase the number of scouts in your units especially for larger games. Sniper rifles are good too.

    I would fill out the regular landspeeder squads with two more with multimeltas if you are looking for more punch against tanks.

    Also, try one scout squad with sniper rifles in case you go up against a wraithlord or things like that.

    Here are some tips:

    Give one squad (7 scouts + sgt) with bolters and an Autocannon, another squad (7 scouts + sgt) with shotguns and a ML, and at least one squad (6 scouts + sgt) with sniper rifles and a HB.

    Take at least one full squad with BP and CCW for the Chaplain to join, and upgrade their Vet Sgt with BP, Power Weapon and Melta Bombs.

    A Whirlwind or a Typhoon would fit the theme nicely.

    Also Scout bikers can be cool but eat into your FA slots.

    How about a whirlwind, that fits in with the scout theme better than a vindicator and will kill swarms quite nicely.

    For list number two combine the two tornado speeders and give them hvy bolters and autocannon's. The have two seperate multi-melta guys running around instead. As for the extra points in list two I would agree the whirlwind is probally the best addition.

    I think you mean assault cannons, not autocannons.
    Also, tornados and typhoons can only go in squads of 1.
