No, you have fallen into the Toys for the boys trap, you have spent more on Elites than troops, against a ballanced 1500 points army I would expect this to get a real kicking

rather than relegating your troops to a supporting role, consider them the the real anvil of your army, with the elites as quite a small hammer

Oh really??? The only purpose of my troops are:

A. Destroying tanks with DLs.

B. Deploying my Webway Portal, so my Talos can come out and rip you to pieces.

Cumpulsory warriors are useless to my strategies; plus I love wyches. The only reason I don't play a wych cult is that I love Talos, and Incubi as well.

I spend 426 points on elites in a 1500 point army. I spend a max of 250 points of troops. And my army has decimated pretty much all that it has faced so far.


Shadow Clan - I pride myself on one of the DE players here who give alot of advice; drop the mandrakes, unless you know how to use them right. The majority of the time, they won't get their points back. Get another squad of wyches.

Drop the DLs on those raiders. Raiders squads are supposed to be fast, agile, and mobile. Replace DLs with SCs.

Hellions are extremely hard to use correctly, and although they are excellent, Reavers are even better. Take those instead.

Now, for that ravager. I suggest you take 2, armed them with ALL disintegrators and night shields. You will decimate half your opponent's army with 2 of those gunboats.

Dude, drop all those screaming jets, unless you are planning on doing something very special against a very special enemy, which you will probably never come across.

What you're really saying is, the only way you've found to win is to load up on Elites and other special troops.

Well good for you. Anyone could do that. The real challenge is to win a game using a balanced army that looks like what the game designers intended.

okay so if i drop the mandrakes add in another squad of wyches get rid of all the screaming jets and have a few more squads with Dark Lances would my army be a bit more even

As far as I can tell your Archon is footslogging it across the board. You have this awesome close combat monster, but it is very dubious as to whether he will actually get into combat.

Either give him a Reaver Jetbike, or give him a few Warriors and a Sybarite and mount him in a Raider.

Hey, that army was called the SHADOW ARMY FOR A REASON. Didn't any of you realise that Shadow clan can have most of his army not on the board, execpt fo the supporting warriors. This fits the theme of Dark Eldar as raiders, however if you want to stuff up his theme be my guest.

Also the Archon is in the Raider with the 9 Wyches.

Anyway 500pts is preety good amount of troops, especially when they are so cheap, however I agree that there is too much elites, however it does win you games it won't win you sportsmanship.
