one word sweet

i think drop the lictor and get some WON stealers as a heavy choice maybe get some warriors because your deepstrikin you dont need wings or leaping

you could get a carni with 2 devourers do I see 8 str 9 shots??? or equip it for CC

thats about it tho maybe some thropes they could be in range as soon as they come in

He needs at least 1 elite choice, and a lictor works well because it can deploy on the board instead of deepstriking; also, wings let his tyrant deepstrike in a less risky spot if need be, and not fear landing on enemy troops/going off the board.

TorGal, I put together an 1850 point seeding swarm list, with a little bit of shooting and some gaunts. Take a peek and let me know how it looks to you.

how can you mutate 4 stealers in a brood of 12 when you have 4 species. and don'T you need a heavy support choice for a mutable swarm?

Genestealers become heavy when the are frency, but then I still only have 3 types of units, thats why I can mutat 4

EDIT Sorry, they become fast, not heavy, this army is illigeal. I have to have at least one heavy unit My bad

--- Drop Wings, add EnhSen and FlsHks. It'll become better and cheaper!

A Seeding Swarm Tyrant does not need Wings... In fact, Wings are detrimental to a SS Tyrant.

Elite-Lictor =80pt
--- Since You need Elite... Besides, Lictors are great fun! =)

And since Lictors do not have to Deep Strike (they can still use their Secret Deployment), You can try to use that to force Your opponent into deploying in clumps, and staying that way.

It will make the job of the Deep Strikers much easier.

Troops-Genestealers x7 =112pt

Troops-Genestealers x6 =96pt
--- I'd stick to Spinegaunts or Toxinspinegaunts for basic Troops... Cheaper but still effective. And they can actually do something on the turn they arrive, if the're within range.

Then again, 'Stealers can Infiltrate, which would allow them to help the Lictors with the herding tactic.

Fast-Hyperstealers x12(genestealers with frensy) =384pt
w/Scything talons
Mutation - Exceptional size x4

Mutation - Exceptional size x4
--- That's Ferocious to all the people who own the English SS list.

I wouldn't spend points on ExcSize Ferocious 'Stealers... Those points could be spent much better elsewhere, like WON 'Stealers.

Fast-Hyperstealers x12(genestealers with frensy) =240pt
w/implant attack
--- Wouldn't waste points on ImpAtt... They'll rarely get to use it. Unless You know You'll be facing multiwounders, of course.

As You Yourself noticed, You lack the mandatory HS choice... But that's easily fixed by changing one or more of the Ferocious 'Stealers into Without Number (WON) 'Stealers.

Of course, the Devourerfex would also be a nice addition.

--- Whether Wings or Seeding Swarm Deep Strike, they both use the exact same rules for the Deep Strike.

Having no wings enables the SS Tyrant to DS into a less risky spot (into terrain).

And thus there's no real point in buying Wings for SS Tyrants, since they restrict it's movement (terrain), give it an ability it has even without the Wings (DS), and the only bonus being the faster movement which it probably won't need.

--- 3 Species:

HQ: Tyrant
E : Lictor
T : 'Stealer
FA: Ferocious 'Stealer
HS: WON 'Stealer

The three different 'Stealers count as a single species, because Ferocious and WON do not change the species.

If I'm not mistaken, standard genestealers and your special genestealers count as 2 seperate species.

ferocious genestealers aren't a separate species, and scything talons are an upgrade for standard genestealers in the codex, so I think all the 'stealers are one species
