This is my absolutely final list for my 1850 seeding swarm army. Please tell me what you think.

As a side note, my 'fexes are modeled with 1 devourer and decorative scything talons. That won't be a problem, will it? I think they'd look silly with 2 devourers. Also, since I'm using my regular spinegaunts from my normal army, I don't want to glue little toxic sacs onto them. Finally, since all the genestealers have scything talons, and I'm not made of money, I'm just going to paint the claws gold or something instead of buying 36 pairs of scything talons, (9 termagaunt sprues). I spent enough buying armies up on ebay.

HQ: Mutable Tyrant: AG +1 In, +1 WS, TxScs +1 St, Enhanced Senses, Ext. Carapace, ST X2, Catalyst, Warp Blast, flesh hooks, bioplasma – 171

(I went and pulled the venom cannon off my walking tyrant... what the hell, why not?).

Elite: 3 CC Warriors, (AG +1 ws, +1 in, leaping, ext. carapace, txscs, rc, st, bioplasma, flesh hooks) - 144

    Troops:

15 Toxicspinegaunts: (spinefist, TxScs) hivenode, 130
15 Toxicspinegaunts: (spinefist, TxScs) hivenode, 130
15 Toxicspinegaunts: (spinefist, TxScs) hivenode 130
    11 Genestealers w/ Scything talons - 242

Fast Attack: 7 Ferocious Genestealers, scything talons - 154

Fast Attack: 7 Ferocious Genestealers, scything talons- 154

Heavy: 1 Dual Devourer ‘Fex – Standard Codex 'fex w/ 2 devourers, purely decorative scything talons, and flesh hooks 152 points

Heavy:1 Dual Devourer 'Fex - 152 points (same as above)

Heavy: 12 Without Number Genestealers w/ Scything talons, 2 with acid blood 284

Alternatively, I could use 20 WON Supergaunts, (TnScs, Ag In +1, Ws +1, ST, bioplasma) at 14 points each, plus 10 points for a hivenode mutant... which do you guys think would be better? I think the supergaunts would get something like 4 attacks each on the charge, for a total of 80, and 20 of them would be at strength 5, although the rending attacks for the 12 genestealers could be useful... but I think I have enough genestealers already.

Nevermind. This was a second list that I scrapped.

Yea I would go with the gaunts for the WON because they are faster than the stealers.
Can you take gaunts with wings for WON?

Split up one of the steal troop selections and add it to the fast attack choices. They are to weak against shooting to stand up with small squads.

Not sure why being faster would be an advantage, since this is a seeding swarm and I'm probably dropping within assault range anyway... plus I did the math, and of any my hypothetical gaunts would still be less effective, mathematically, than 12 scythingtalon stealers, be it against Tau, IG, SMurfs, or even the much vaunted wyches (I'd have more points worth than them, but in war, you don't fight fair"... not to mention the fact that against armour, the 'stealers win hands down. So in they stay.

I want the extra 'stealers in as troops so I have the option to either deepstrike them, or infiltrate them as the situation allows.

Gaunts with wings become a fast attack choice, and to become Without Number, the unit has to come from troops choices, so the answer is no (just like gargoyles can't be without number). Anyway, like I said, this is a seeding swarm, and the most I can scatter is 12'' from my target, so I'm within assault range even if my dice magically rolled a 0 for fleet of claw (i.e. genestealers which don't get FoC)
