Ok so first of all i would like to state that i dont normailly take a ctan and a monolith in the same army, especially not a 2,000 pt army.
The only reason i have done so in this list is that the deathguard player who i will be facing is is specifically taking along a squad of deepstriking, power weapon wielding, DG termies because he know that the only thing that i have to really hurt them is H.destroyers and pariahs.
since all the termies have powerweapons, that takes out the pariahs. So because he is tailoring his army (at least part of it) to specifically beat my 'crons, (which we normally dont do btw) i have decided to use some of the cheese myself and pull out the old Nightbringer in hopes of him taking care of the termies when they deepstrike.
If there are any players who have any other ideas on how to take out T5 deepstriking termies i would appreciate any info.

Actually, wouldn't pharias be the best bet against the terminators?
They cost less, have reallyy good ranged weapons (better then stormbolters! and their weapon doesn't allow the terminators any save whatsoever!
If he uses a full squad of terminators (10?) then you'll probably gonna need a full scuad of pharias and a full squad of Flayed ones (or regular warriors for that matter) to bring the Terminators down. But still a full squad of terminators is a SHITLOAD of points...
If you keep your Res-Orb wielding lord in the neighbourhood, you still get wbb rolls agains their weapons too!
Dropping a single unit into the midst of a necron stronghold isn't a good idea. necrons ARE strong and one unit shouldn't stay alive for long (aspecially since they can't charge you 1st turn). so let him teleport in and ripp him appart.
well i would use pariahs except for the fact that they are going against chaos chosen termies which means that the termies can all be equiped with power weapons. this means that they would go before the pariahs in cc
also plz dont forget that his nurgle chaos lord will be with the termies lending a very powerfull close combat punch to the squad (i am afraid of the possible 11 str 5 power weapon attakcs with his manreaper and D.strength)
so basically i am pretty sure that were i to use a squad of pariahs they would get owned by the termies
so i am taking the Nightbringer so that he can use gaze of death and all of his high str attacks to take the termies out

It would be a good idea...if they had an I of 4. But simply put, he will simply suffer too many casualties at the hands of the termies and the manreaper armed lord. I plan to use teleport homers in my army so i dont have to do the risky prospect of long range teleporting. I have two teleport homers in each rhino mounted squad (2) which i plan to rush in train formation at him. Even if he blows them both up midway, or best case scenario, at the front. He will have more then just 6 termies and a lord to deal with 7-14 deathguard with a champion with a power fist will also be at the front to assist.Actually, wouldn't pharias be the best bet against the terminators?
You know what they say, if you dont like the weather in houston...go back to where you came from
