If you enjoy reading fluff then yes it is definitely worth it. If you were going to buy it solely for the rules part, then you already have the exact same thing in the one that comes with the AoBR.
The big guy also has some campaigns and things you could try with some of your opponents if you play the same people multiple times. They are actually quite fun.

Its very nice for ideas to. I have built some defence lines because of pictures in it.
I have the little book, but i will buy the big book when the next rules edition is released: it'll be much cheaper then and i'll still have my fluff!
So you could always wait a few years and get it out of a bargain bin!
