I have been reading a lot of forums and I still cannot decide what army I want to start playing. These three I have the most interest in, my preferences are:
Mech Eldar: I really like their mobility, I really dislike how difficult it will be to convert farseers/warlocks onto jetbikes along with painting them effectively.
Tyranid: I would play a Nidzilla list with lots of genestealers, I dislike that this army lacks mobility and has to footslog everything though.
Vanilla SM: I would probably play as Black Templars since they appear to be the most "competative" SM army: Warhammer 40k & Warhammer Fantasy Battle News | Bell of Lost Souls: 40K EDITORIAL: Rating the Armies, but my concern is that most other competative lists are prepared for MEQs. Actually all other forums, except for this one, has a lot of very deragatory (sic?) comments about SM, but this forum appears to have the most educated WH40k players so I think it's a wash.
I have found an amazing on ebay and purchased 24 Eldar Jetbikes brand new, and I've found that they sell/trade for twice as much as I paid on various forums, so I'm not really on a budget since I already have the most expensive of these 3 armies still on sprues.
So simply, which army is going to win the most games? I enjoy the fluff and style of each a lot.
Think about which army you would have the most fun playing. I would suggest eldar, but I'm biased. I have a friend who does very well with Mech Eldar. I also know people who do well with Nidzilla, so it's all up to you.
