As I usually seem to do I'm taking the "Shotgun approach" to Warhammer 40k, but I bought this stuff off of E-bay before my group convinced me they needed more Tyranid players. Anyway, here's my first attempt at a 500pt SOB army. Having never actually fielded a SOB army before, advice from those with experience will definately be appreciated.
Cannoness w/Blessed Weapon and Cloak of St Aspira - 95 pts
2 (10) Battle Sisters w/1 Heavy Flamer(ea squad) - 244 pts
5 Seraphim w/2 twin Inferno pistols and meltabombs - 160pts
Comments and criticism, where appropriate, are welcome. Thanks!

Thats the exact wargear I give to my canoness. In a 1500+ game. Not 500. 1/5 of your points is one model, thats never good. Take a lightly armed palatine.
Definetly cut down on the Canoness, as odd fish stated, and you should probably give one of the battle sister squads anti-tank instead of the seraphim, since seraphim will almost certainly get shot at first. Also, meltabombs are a bit costly, and if you also take out the inferno-pistols for flamer pistols, (great anti-infantry, just like the seraphim with their fast-charges, multiple attacks and hit-run tactic,) you'll have some extra points to work with. With those spare points and the points for down-grading your HQ, (a palatine with a power weapon is more than enough,) you could give nice upgrades to your troop choices, perhaps make them faithful with veterans and give them secondary special weapons.

keep the cannoness, I have one like that in my 500 pt list and its nearly undefeated!
I would do something with that second sister squad though. If both of them have heavy flamers thats great, but its kind of boring. If you diversify your army your aponent has to balance his force in order to defeat you. You will avoid situations where large groups of one unit charging blindly at you is an affective strategy.
This seems to be my night for efficiency. Here's a revised list:
(1) Palantine w/power sword, bolt pistol, and frag grenades - 47pts
(11) Battle sisters w/veteran sis sup (w/frag grenade), 1 Heavy Flamer, 1 Meltagun - 158pts
(10) Battle sisters w/veteran sis sup (w/frag and krak grenades), 1 Heavy Flamer, and 1 Meltagun - 149pts
(6) Seraphim w/2 sets hand flamer - 146pts
Grand Total - 500pts
It looks ok to mee, personally i would take out all the frag and krak grenades and get meltabombs on the seraphim... and yes, you have to keep them away and safe from fire lanes.....
