who would win in close combat
This thread belongs in the 40K forums.
Spambot kill tally. . .337
Peroxism is a psi shooting attack and cannot be used in cc. So, assuming the swarmlord charges, he would only get peroxism for 2 rounds of combat. Can the swarmlord take toxin sacs?

Peroxism will only work for a turn, but that turn he'll be hit on a 5+, helping him stay alive until he can deal that lone wound.
Furious Charge and Preferred Enemy work almost the same math-wise, with Furious Charge having a slight upper hand. I just mentioned Preferred Enemy because it can be used even when you don't assault yourself.
Also, a new question:
The Deceiver or the Swarmlord?
The answer is neither, if the Necron player is smart.
Furious Charge is better for only one reason.. Hive Tyrant with in 6 can give Swarm lord PE .
Tbh Nightbringer is sort of screwed no one in necron army can make him stronger or SwarmLord weak... But Nids can stop night bringer attacking (Broodlord), stop him from getting +1 attack on charge and take dangerous terrain test (Venom) and give him FE (Tyrant)
All in all, I think the swarmlord is going to win any 'who would win in a fight' arguments. I just don't see how any character could defeat it in straight close combat. I'm sure you could put together a unit that could do it, but an individual character? I don't think so.
