Well here it is -- 1000 points of meaty, rippy goodness. If you look at the point costs, I actually do sink an appropriate amount into troops. However, with a list this small, It's kind of difficult to make it sufficiently FT-ish without spreading into the Elites and FA a bit. So the Chappie and the DC jump up a flank, along with the assault squad. The Razorback squad runs around and fires its decently strong weapons at any armored threats -- the Speeder zips around and deals with those if they fail. The 10 man squad moves through cover along with the Dread, making them a second wave of supporting CC for my JP units. So...you guys know what to do -- tear it apart! (No pun intended.) This is my first loyalist list in a while, so if it's not up to par with my IW list, please excuse me.
Chaplain - 216 Points
Death Company Dreadnought - 135
Tactical Squad (10) - 195
Veteran Sergeant; BP/PW
Tactical Squad (6) - 188
Razorback APC; TL Lascannon, XA, Smokes
Assault Squad (6) - 200
Plasma Pistols (2)
Veteran Sergeant; BP/PF
Land Speeder Squadron (1) - 65
Looks quite good, love the Dreadnought. The only thing I can see wrong here really is that you have a 10 man Tactical Squad. It's not that this is bad, it's just that it would be better as 2 squads of 5. You can spread the Heavy Weapons then as well. I suggest giving the Razorback to the Meltagun 5 man squad from the above suggestion, so that they can ride up and Meltagun tanks along with the TL-Lascannon. Other than that, good.
EDIT: Move the Smokey's from the Razorback to the Death Company Dreadnought, it'll need them more.
Really good list Squirrel, its hard to find fault, no obvious weaknesses. Only things I can think of is maybe I consider lascannon with plasma over the twinlinked on the Razorback, after all you already have marine accuracy. Its cheaper (only 5pts admittedly), and you get more shots at close range. Then you can stick something like melta bombs on your assault squad vet serg, which will be useful if you deep strike. Oh, and Id keep the solid 10 man squad over 2 fives, 10 man marine squads rule, they hold objectives better, outnumber better, and are much more survivable.
Other than that, solid.
Thanks for the advice, guys. I'll playtest it with the different squad sizes once I get it. The DC dread, sadly cannot have any upgrades -- it sucks, I know. But it's soo goddamn cool and fluffy, that I gotta take it. I'm actually considering switching up the weapons on the Razorback. Maybe I'll just playtest it turretless with a different turret each game to see how it fares. Cheers!
