6 tactical squads of 6 ( plasma cannon ; missle launcher each squad) = 690 pts
1 deathwing terminator squad of 5 ( 2 cyclone missle launchers ; pair lightning claws ; thunder hammer with storm sheild ) = 305 pts
Grand Master ( Sword of secrets ) = 120 pts ( followed by terminators to make a command squad also for shooting and Cc if need be)
1 devestator squad of 6 ( 4 lascannons 1 storm bolter) = 230
1 devestator squad of 5 ( 4 missle launchers 1 storme bolter ) = 155
= 1500 exactly
have the 6 tactical squads spread out and behind them in the far back have the devestator squads 1 on each side of the table. Then either have the termies in front for fodder ( very expensive but they will for get the 6 plasma cannon 4 lasconnons and 10 missle launchers) and if they dont shoot the termies they are still rippin in Cc. and shoot the cyclones before assaulting to hurt them even more.
what do you guys think? And if i did 2k i would have land raider drop of 2x assault termies and have them rip up as much as they can. Then whatever left is shot by the rest of the army. but i will change the line up if i play orcs or nids. But tell me how the army is since i mostly play SMurfs ; chaos and eldar.

Wow, thats pretty crazy. But I think the terminators should have assault cannons. From what i've heard they are much better, and you could use some more anti-infantry. (ok, not really, but why not)

What happens if you have to manuever? That army can't really do anything but stand back and blast away. A 1500 point Emperors Children list would make short work with a moving rhino wall backed up by blastmasters and sonic weapons. If you split the devastators in half, then a good player could screen half your army and then pour his entire fire into half of yours while the other half has to move and reposition. Just a thought about balancing it out to include maybe a rhino or pred that could move more quickly to counter something like this.

Firstly, Dark Angels tactical squads may take a plasma cannon instead of any other heavy weapon, at 15 points each. If all 6 Squads take plasma cannon, the cost is 630 pts.

275 pts. DW are 47 points each; Cyclone, 20 each; LC & Thunder Hammer are direct trades.

Yes, but is that all. Give him Terminator armour and a storm bolter and his effectiveness improves markedly. +10 pts for TA, +5 for StB = 135 pts

6 Devastators, 4 with Lascannon is 230 pts. The Storm Bolter costs another 20 (% for the SB, 15 for the Veteran Sergeant upgrade which allows access to the Armoury). 250 pts

Again, +20 for VS with Storm Bolter. 175 pts
>= 1500 exactly
630 + 275 + 135 + 250 + 175 = 1465 pts
Sorry if this seems overcritical, my friend. In a friendly game It would make for a challenging game, but you wouldn,t be allowed to tourney with it.

the dev squads are kinda small makes them abit of an expensive target that is defineately going to be a priority and the vets just maker them more so
