Id say its completly shooty, anti tank. am I correct? do i get a lollipop?

And you got the termies to just spice thing up when someone decides to go CC

Definantly not a templar army because of weapon selections as well as templar are not capable to have Devastator Squads.

But its generic enought that it could be any SM army other then Salamanders (no flamers), Space wolves, and Templar

you may be right, but this tactic is more complex than that...a clue...it involves the deathwatch...also notice the commanders wargear

I would severly hope your HQ has a command squad or he wont live very long. and thats alot of points to loose in a small army like that!

consider this....the crusader can carry 15 models
the deathwatch ride in the crusader along with the commander
they all jump out when they need to and give it some boltage(re-rolling failed wounds cos of inferno bolts) and deep striking the terminators via the teleport homer who give it some lightning clawage

Flaw in your tactic though. If I was playing against you with my Templar. this is what would happen

1st turn. Dreadnought fires on your LRC, SMOKAGE from 48"
Deepstrike my Termies right in CC with your Devistator squads. Squishy squads
Move my Templar forward

Bike squads to destroy as much of your devistaor squads as possible
(bike squads with 2 with melta guns) x 2

Once I get CC your pretty much defeated when all the bolt pistol close combat
weapon are in your face!

And if Akratil (my chaplain) 146pnts get in CC with your HQ then cound him toast! I PWN in CC with him.

This should cost 290 pt ({15+5+5}x10 + 15 + 25), and if you upgrade models to be in the Deathwatch (ass opposed to taking a Kill Team), They must be armed with a Bolter or Combi-Bolter.

As Blood God said, it is generic. It could almost be Raven Guard though, if you dropped the Crusader and Dreadnought, and added some Assault squads.

ok, but a lascannon still needs 5+ to glance a LRC, +6 for a missile launcher

Deepstrike my Termies right in CC with your Devistator squads. Squishy squads
you can't deep strike then charge...you may only shoot.

the vet serg doesnt have inferno bolts...(5 points less)

They must be armed with a Bolter or Combi-Bolter
the vet serg can't be upgraded to a deathwatch marine and therefore has a seperate ruling from the deathwatch squad (because he is a vet serg he has terminator honours which ranks him higher than the deathwatch marines).

so all my maths is perfectly fine, thankyou

I dunno, I think the LRC wont last long, pretty much every heavy weapon Str 8+ I have would be pointed at it. I have armies that would eat this lot for breakfast, but that is rather a pointless statement as some armies are alwayss good against others. overall, as cunning plans go it isnt bad, a little dubious as to why you bother with the termie armour on the HQ and your choice of heavy weapons for the tac and dev squads but otherwise fine
Everything you have been told is a lie!

I gave him termie armour because Im tired of seeing an invulneradle save come from an iron halo....they're supposed to be hugely rare and every army seems to have one <_<
I included the heavy bolters for some ranged multiple shots, useful against hoarde armies.
