I think you need a really good troops choice to play 40k in a flash so i think SM would probably be the best.

Im hesitating between my Necrons or my Chaos Space Marines, both have good hard solid units. The only problem with the Necrons is the phase out. But on the bright side, they get back up alot, since there are few units in 40k in a flash that have insta-kill weapons...

DE Wyche cults are pretty kick ass in 40k in 40 minutes games. They are mobile, fast and can pounce on small squads of the enemies in short order.

I also like seeding swarms with ferocious genestealers. It's really a gamble, but if you manage to deep strike on target, then you can kiss the other guys army goodbye in one shot.

Yes, genestealers are definitely powerful in 40k in 40 minutes.

Once I fielded a full brood of stealers against necrons. His destroyers killed all but three in turn one, after which the stealers assaulted them killing the whole squad. Next turn his warriors rolled really badly and managed to kill only one, after which the remaining two slaughtered them.

Now if you happen to wonder where the rest of my army was; I had a biovore who killed two warriors, and a deathgaunt brood who was lurking the whole game do to bad IB rolling (yes they had a hive node).

I also like playing my Nids in small games.

Sure I can't take a HT or 'Fex , but I can take a hellaload of gaunts and a fistful genestealers.

Plus, my squad of leaping CC warriors tend to be strong in smaller games.

I currently have around 42 models in my 500 point list.
